Don't be fooled by the low price

Alright, I'll start this by saying I haven't left a review of a car in the past but my feelings about this car compel me to. I was in search of a smaller car with better gas mileage than my 4Runner Offroad Premium since I was going to be doing a lot of commuting in the near future. This car seemed like it included a number of nice-to-have features for a pretty palatable price tag. I think it says plenty about it that I would gladly take my 16-18 mpg 4Runner back over this car even with all of my commuting. The things many point to with this car is that for about $25k, it comes with features that have become options on other cars like heated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charger, large display screen, looks sporty, etc. Don't be seduced by any of these things. The wireless charger is terrible, it's inconsistent with picking up the phone to charge and is fairly slow to charge when it does. I've had more issues with the display not connecting to CarPlay right away than any other car and have had multiple instances of it freezing and bugging out. None of the "luxury" features proudly touted on this car are worth it. This car is often described as efficient at 28 city/32 highway. Through about 7000 miles, I'm averaging 30.7 mpg. That's not bad, but when you consider that's more or less what a Toyota Rav4 does, it's disappointing that a car this size isn't doing better on gas. I've also now run into an issue with the fuel range indicator. I noticed I was losing range more quickly when my oil level dropped to around 10% remaining. Changed the oil and reset the oil life from the display, and I continue to frequently drop more miles of range than a trip takes and often see it go down by two miles at a time. I'm guessing a computer reset by a dealer might solve this but it's been highly frustrating. To be fair, this engine is only ever described as fine and you don't realize just how fine it is until spending time with it. This is also probably the worst transmission I've ever driven. Shifting from low to high is terrible and it's pretty common to feel a lurch if you need to floor it as the car catches up to your foot on the pedal. This is by far the most sensitive heads up collision warning system I've driven with. Normally you'd say that's a good thing but Buick's is downright annoying. I have yet to figure out what conditions are triggering it but it's pretty common for it to come up at times when you have plenty of time to brake and I've also had times where I was driving under a certain speed and it did not come up when I felt based on its usual performance it would have. I've even had it beep at me when going into a corner on a narrower street when a car is parked against a curb. Additionally, for a sedan I feel this car really lacks for space. Despite the hatchback, the trunk is pretty limited. Don't expect to be able to put more than two suitcases back there and with the aggressive slope of the back windshield, the amount of space to stack things is also limited. Granted, you're not buying a sedan if you think you are going to have significant cargo needs. But still, I have been surprised by how small the Envista feels. There's no denying the price tag. There simply aren't a lot of cars coming in around $25k now and if that is your budget and it can't wait, this car will be fine. I do think that in including some of the so-called luxury features, Buick went a bit too far going the cheap route to keep the total cost down. I've also noticed some things in the interior are not assembled flush, such as where the plastic on the shifter meets rubber. A lot of the hype around this car has been that the features included standard and how they make an otherwise average car worth it. I disagree. There's nothing about this car that suggests you should spend your money on it.

I love my Envista! No problems, I love the safety features. Lots of leg room. Spacious. Like the shield over the trunk to hide the trunk area.loaded and comfortable to drive. Very happy with it

I traded in a TESLA MODEL 3 AWD for this vehicle. I have almost 25,000 miles on it and I love it! It gets 33-40 on the highway, has lots of room, and the stereo sounds incredible. Also, I love the way it handles and drives. The adaptive cruise control is incredible. just set it and if someone in front slows down, so does the Envista. No issues other than one recall
