BMW X3 M50 Review
I purchased a new 2025 BMW X3 fully loaded for 80 grand and I must say I definitely got what I paid for. I love the inline-6 engine and the interior is just amazing. I came from a previous 2021 Toyota RAV4 so this was a whole new step forward to me. The textile in the X3 actually makes up for the lack of sophistication for this all new model but I'm hoping for 2026 maybe the X3 will add on more design elements for this model. It's not a major concern for me because I think this interior is so futuristic and overall a great buy with that large touchscreen and I got used to the climate controls pretty fast too.

Back in a BMW
Had strayed from this brand for fifteen years but the styling of the new X3 caught my eye. Have only had it a month but initial impression is very favorable. Plenty of power, great handling and loads of technology. Gas mileage is outstanding. Take one for a test drive. I think you will like it. Ours has the M sport suspension and trim plus M professional driving assistant, parking assistant, etc.

Love the car, not the tech.
Our first BMW. I love the drive and feel of the car, but having to look at the screen to change channels or anything takes your eyes off the road. There’s nothing on the wheel to just go to the next favorite channel. Just simple common things other cars have buttons for you could use without looking away you now have to look at the screen, go to a menu, and select what you want to do.

New car buy

Impressive Performance, Mileage and Tech
After being saddled with an expensive 3 year lease for a “supposed” performance car that had a Google infotainment that was full of bugs, imagine my relief when I drove off in my 2025 X3 M50. After 6 months, I could not be more pleased. The handling is responsive, the gas mileage impressive, the power awesome and the tech actually works! Add to this BMW’s customer service. We had a BMW genius show us the ins outs of the car: there’s a lot to learn, it took 3 visits and several phone calls, but the dealership was happy to help each time. Bottom line, the car is well worth the price of admission. Zoom on!!!

Noise, and lots of it, and a sea of hard plastic
I traded in my 2025 Acura MDX technology due to too many service visits, mostly related to noise and poor quality (uneven and loose trim pieces). I thought that I put it all behind me by moving into a 2025 BMW X3. I honestly wanted the 5 series, mainly because it is more luxurious and most importantly assembled in GERMANY... However, I could only afford the new X3. After three weeks, the AC started blowing warm air from the passenger side. I had a loaner for 3 days and they were able to fix it. Reason given was a loose screw in the AC unit during assembly probably. A week or so after getting back, I started hearing rattle noise coming from the rear. I tried to re-arrange stuff in the hidden compartment in the trunk, in addition to removing the trunk pullout cover for a whole day. It did not help so I called the dealer to make another appointment to see whether or not they can figure out the source of the noise. For the record, I had a certified 2022 BMW 530i and I never had a single issue with it. It was assembled in GERMANY. Enough said...
