I like my older 3 more now
I first fell for BMW in 2008. I purchased a 328xi. I was impressed with the sporty and solid road feel, refined-smooth-sounding power, and overall impressive build quality and materials throughout the cabin. I acquired another one in 2011, but noticed a very slight decline in materials...sun visor were plastic-like instead of cloth, and the nifty, cost-saving "Rest" feature was removed. After driving a 2014 for one month, I'm so glad I didn't trade my 2011. Car sounds loud and odd, feels cheap, and the size of the vanity mirror is smaller. Stereo system quality has declined (lack of depth), and steering feel reminiscent of my grandfather's Buick. BMW has skimped on quality with this one.

If you are looking for reliability, Do not buy a BMW... Stick to Honda or Toyota if reliability is your thing. Not just this one, Any BMW. I am a car guy, I've had 31 cars and 3 motorcycles in 18 years. BMWs are fun to drive, and they look awesome. But they are extremely over priced, and for that reason, they don't hold their value! That's why a 45.000 BMW drops to 15.000 in a few years. Because they are known money pits! When they are new, obviously everything is great. But just like any other vehicle, BMW's also break. This vehicle was engineered with too much plastic. Even the cooling system is made up of plastic! The price to maintain is extremely overpriced, even if you own a mechanic shop. I don't pay retail price for parts due to my automotive repair shop parts account, And still, the parts are absurdly expensive. Ready to pay $200 for a plastic hose? or $864 dollars for a transfer case solenoid that's made of 80% plastic that is guaranteed to fail? Just complete garbage

Better, but not because it’s Faster
This was our sixth BMW. I had traded my first, a red 2004 330iC that was the fruit of a three-state search to get the right colors and options, and have regretted it ever since. I had replaced it with an ill-considered private party black/black 330iC that had been abused, and which my wife hated. She told me to find a red BMW that was still under warranty and dump the black car. I found the 2013 335i with M-Sport Package at an independent lot. It is by far the superior car in nearly every way. It is roomier, more luxurious, faster (I found the Car and Driver raw data sheet from their road test and it’s as quick as the legendary E39 M5 V8!) and still relatively compact and maneuverable in tight quarters. I do miss the 330’s SMG and its instant rev-matched downshifts. I still turn around to look at it when I get out, so its looks please me. The greatest joy I had from the red 330iC was the intuitive way it responded to steering with the throttle accelerating out of the tight bends on US1 between Ragged Point and Bixbey Bridge. With the added power of the turbo 3-liter of the 335i, that ability remains, but it’s less intuitive, and more demanding. The newer car can do that in fast sweepers, and my meager skills leave me reluctant to explore those capabilities. Finally, around town, the 335i struggles to achieve 15 mpg. On a totally irrelevant note, mine is the only example of this model I have ever seen that has red M-Sport brake calipers, and I live where 3-Series BMWs are as common as Camrys.

2013 BMW 328i not happy
I want to know what happened to the steering my 2007 with almost 200,000 handled better than this 2013. I feel like I am driving a econo car with crappy steering, and it sounds like a flutter in the engine. Not to mention it turns off at every stop, so annoying. Why they put a 4 cylinder with turbo in it instead of the 6 cylinder I will never know. The car is beautiful, has more room inside, and the trunk is bigger, some nice features like adding music from cds and phone or mp3 is nice. But I die a little bit every time I drive it, I yearn for the solid feel and steering only BMW had.

Love my 335i
I bought my used BMW 335i with 24,000 miles and paid $19,000. I absolutely love this car. I haven't had any issues as of yet. The car is beautiful inside and out. It came with brand new Continentals and new brakes. I have done one oil change, bought all season floor mats and bought a sun shade. That is all I have needed since I got the car. According to the MPG indicator I am averaging 27.1 mpg. According to my phones calculator I Sam averaging 29 MPG. I love this vehicle.
