Used 2006 BMW 3 Series 325i 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 6M) Consumer Reviews
Great driving car
We thoroughly enjoy our 2006 BMW 325i sedan. Ours has a sport package, which includes larger wheels (looks nice), sport steering wheel, but most important is the sport seats. Dual power seats with power side bolsters and manual seat bottom extenders. Compared to our 2009 328i (Premium - no sport), the seats on the '06 are so much better. The ride comfort isn't as good as the '09, but it's still good for a performance sedan. The fit and finish is still good, materials are very well made and have held up well. Paint still looks good, except for the repainted bumpers from a parking lot ding (factory paint is so much better than a body shop repair). Overall, we're very happy!
Use but still great
I purchase my BMW used with 79,000 miles. I have a new Mercedes c class, a Lexus is 250. The Mercedes was a very good car. The Lexus had nice features but when you add in the frequent maintenance unrotatable tires and lack drive quality when if comes to the feel of the car. At 80,000 miles the BMW has a better quality feel than the Lexus. I can't knock the Mercedes, when you compare Mercedes and BMW its more a matter of taste, they are just different. In comfort and road handling Mercedes has a softer feel which some people like more. To me BMW is just more suited to a person who love to drive and the feel of the car and the road as one.

Great Driving Car ; In the shop too much
This was my new BMW purchased just a 8 months ago. I can not believe all the problems I have had. Just recently sold it for Acura TL. Yes it was still under warranty but do you like spending your weekends in the repair shop or taking days off from work? I really liked the car but I just dont have time for all the problems: dead battery, battery replaced, air bag repaired three times, three different trips to the dealer, power steering fluid container broken, replaced unit, paint came off bmw emblem (perfect - shows the quality of the car!!), sun roof sun shield came off tracks had to be fixed at dealer, right side passenger window came off tracks dealer fixed.
They Just Don't Make 'em Like This Anymore.
When it comes to driving fun and performance, this car still rocks! It performs superbly in every regard, even after 135,000 miles. Unlike today's 4-cylinder, turbo charged versions, this car has six cylinders that still beg for a workout. The only downside has been the breakdown (and rather expensive replacement) of hoses, gaskets, pumps, etc., that support the high-compression engine. When this started happening I was thinking I should have traded the car in, but now I'm glad I kept it. It still runs like a charm and all the important items - i.e., engine, transmission and AC - are still in excellent condition. At this point I'm thinking it will be a great car to hand down to my grandchildren who might not otherwise get to experience what cars used to mean to enthusiastic drivers. I’m only driving it about once a week now, but still enjoying it. Just under 150k miles on the odometer. Got a Mazda CX-5 for my regular daily use. Variety is the spice! 😄 After 3 years, I sold the Mazda, so the BMW is my main ride again. The mileage is approaching 160,000. I’ve had to have shocks and struts replaced a couple times, and recently the timing belt and tensioner, but the car drives great. The engine still has plenty of power and gets decent gas mileage. For long trips, I usually rent a newer vehicle just to be safe. The trade-in value is so low that I’ll probably never let it go of this baby, unless I give her to a deserving family member who will provide the same loving care. I must here give a shout out to my auto mechanic, Peter, at Techstar Auto Service in Temecula, CA, who has been instrumental in keeping this car in top condition for the last several years. He’s of German origin himself and takes great pride in the quality cars his homeland has produced.

Bought Car used in 2013
This car has been amazing i wont lie.. For being my first car to buy on my own i am happy with my purchase.. Bought the car with 67k miles on it and now driving it around with over 140k miles. This car drives and handles just like you see in the commercials.. You can drive fast around sharp curves and have your headlights lead the way.. For someone who is 6'4 size isn't the best but not terrible either i have with it. I drove from Washington state to New York in my car and was comfortable the whole way.. I will say after 145k miles you will start to see issues.. I have had to have all my Spark plugs and coil packs replaced probably totaling $500 all together. Then recently with in two weeks i have had my serpentine belt replaced, and its pulley replaced totaling over $300, plus i have had electrical issues with my car completely going dead loss of all power 2x now luckily at home though.. Thanks to AAA saves my life. I have had my air conditioner not working, and other minor errors. This car burns through oil like nothing, and tends to have oil leaks.. Love the car but i think its time to get something newer.. I would suggest buying this car and year if you are getting it with low miles.. Its a fantastic car.. .
