I bought my 2019 Audi A6 3 years ago. First two years were great as I loved the car, comfort, style, performance, features. However, the past 12 months have been a nightmare with multiple electrical and mechanical issues. My car is currently at the dealer with a "generator" issue. The parts to repair are on back order from Audi with no ETA. The dealer won't give me a loaner since they don't know when they may get it back. I have been without transportation for 2+ weeks now with no hope of getting my car back. Opened a case with Audi USA, requested a rental car. No help or support from Audi USA or the Dealer as they keep pointing to each other for help. Very frustrating!

I bought this car new in 2019, and in the past year I have had two serious issues. The car’s generator died, and it had to be towed into the dealership to have the part replaced. Just today, a malfunctioning low pressure fuel valve went bad during a long road trip, causing the RPMs to be limited to 2500 for the almost 3 hours of driving then remaining in my trip. Steer clear, or buy an extended warranty.

I'm a former Audi Q7 owner, 2008 and 2013 Prestige and now A6 2.0 AWD. Traded my 2015 MB E350 Sport for the A6 and what a difference! 1- The A6 is a much more luxurious ride than the MB E350. The E350 is lower to the ground and for anyone over 40 with back pain it sucked to get in and get out. By contrast the A6 is a few inches higher, has wider doors and it is much easier to get in and get out if it without having to feel your getting into a bath tub with a roof on top. You don't have to bend your knees and hunch to get in. 2- I have 19" tires, ride quality is excellent for me, both city and highway driving is super smooth, I love to corner with this car, and you can turn with laser sharp precision without squealing the tires. For other reviewers complaining about the ride quality, you have to take into acct the rim size and what was their prior car. I would suggest to test drive both the stock 19" wheels and the 20" option and see which one you like. I also agree with other reviewers at first, the ride quality and the firm seats may take you aback some, but that feeling will go away in 3 days exactly :-) 3- Acceleration is fast from a dead stop in dynamic mode, however there is a turbo lag in normal day to day driving in auto, when you need to make a quick left turn for example (again 2.0 engine here). 4- Reliability, the A6 has never got me stranded in 18 month of driving it, however the electronics are very dodgy sometimes. I have been to the shop at least 7 times for electronics! I think 3 recall visits for 3 different issues, 4 visits for safety systems malfunction where the dash tells you to go to service. For example, high beam assist malfunction, brake assist malfunction, rear camera malfunction with all the other sensors. Sometimes the MMI goes totally dark on starting the car with no error codes for the dealer to trouble shoot. Overall, its a nice toy for grownups, as long as its under factory warranty! Out of warranty it would be very dicey for the 2019 year model. Not sure if newer models would fair any better, knowing Audi well, the same bugs of my old 2008 Q7 were encountered in the 2013 AQ7 even thought it was a totally different generation. Hopefully, I have presented you with some value, very nice car overall.

A6 interior tech finally surpasses Mercedes & BMW

Just got the 2019 A6 prestige, the tech in this car surpasses all other german cars finally! The heads-up display shows current speed, a speed limit sign, and even navigation information with intersection diagrams! The virtual cockpit with 12" TFT instrument cluster BLOWS AWAY all other manufacturers period, the nicest looking dash available today! Lots of cool high tech safety features like cross traffic alert forward and reverse, it will even automatically steer around a road obstacle if the driver doesn't react! All the touch screens (3 of them) make all other interiors look old-fashioned. The self-driving automatic cruise control will automatically slow the car down if it sees a new speed limit sign, pretty cool the first time it did it-
