Used 2023 Acura RDX Consumer Reviews
Better than before
The 2022 Acura RDX is a significant improvement over the previous one. Gets better gas mileage, runs on mid-grade gas, the electronics are somewhat easier to learn, and is nice looking. UPDATE: It is a very nice car but he technology, such as the navigation system, radio, an cell phone connections are difficult to use.

Run Don't Walk
For this price point the car is desperately lacking. No automatic windshield wipers. No parking assist even though the sales person told us it did have it. No automatic breaking at low speed only higher speed. Brakes moan loudly after 3 months, service department states its due to nature of the stiffer FNC rotors. No one wants to hear noises or have their passengers hear noises when they are braking. A major defect in the brake design. Buyers remorse and can't wait to trade it in. Other reviews on google state the same issue, wish I had read those.

MPG 21.2 on hwy
The sleek exterior look of the RDX is what brought me to Acura from Toyota. I was aware that I was going to change gas from 87 to 91+, but the mpg is a joke on the awd RDX. I’m on the interstate 90% of the time and no matter what mode I’m in, my mpg never tops 22. All other aspects of the vehicle are good. I don’t suggest McGrath in downtown Chicago for sales or service - go to Advantage Acura in Naperville instead.

No travel for this baby on gravel
We got a brand new Acura RDX Aspec in April 2023. Before that we drove an Audi Q5 that we had for 10 years but it started consuming oil and we were also disappointed about it rusting. The Acura seemed great price for everything that was included and we absolutely liked the looks, size and drive. We have to cover 2 miles of gravel road to get home and thats where the problem arose… Every time going to town there was gravel stuck in between the brake pads and the steel ,,dust pan’’ behind it , causing high pitched sqeaking and sqeeling. This dust pan is mounted to close to the brake pads and pieces of gravel get caught in there and won’t release until they’re worn off enough tocome loose. We endured the situation for 3 months and after the dealership didn’t come up with a solution we decided to bite the bullet and trade it in for a different brand. Another thing we noticed is that there’s a lotta road noise coming through the bottom of the car. Don’t get me wrong it is a great car but don’t buy it when you have to cover gravel roads on a regular base. It really is a design flaw imho. We now drive a new Mercedes GLC 300 and no gravel problems at all. Pricy mistake.. I hope my fellow farmers and country men/women read this and learn from it instead of peeing on the electric fence😊
Better than MDX in driving experience!
Bought RDX over MDX and RX 350 F Sport a couple months ago. The comfort mode really changes to have the same manners as the Lexus. Only reason for 4 stars overall is because the gas mileage. However that is a great trade off for the driving experience. Drove the advance MDX but was not too thrilled. Of course it had more room. The RDX was more engaging driving wise and this trim has changed for the better in 2022. That was main reason why I ended up purchasing. Otherwise was going to wait another year or two. Have no issues with infotainment. Also the hater’s on having to wait to lock the car when closing rear hatch needs to know that all you have to do is touch rear door to lock the whole car even before fully closing. Also there is another button by handle that locks it once fully closed. Hope this helps. GREAT CAR! CORNERS BETTER THAN MOST SEDANS!
