Worst customer service in the auto industry

I have contacted Acura on several occasions regarding my issue with the transmission. My closes dealer is several hours away due to the local dealer shutting down. Acura is basically no help. I am told it is my responsibility to take it to the end of the earth if necessary without and help from Acura. Buy Ford or Chevy their customer service is much more helpful. Also, Acura doesn’t participate in the lemon law. You are on your own.

I drove my friends 19 RDX today , it seems nice in some ways but not for me in too many other key areas , I think I found I’m not a small suv lover , but loved the large Chevy SUV I owned years ago but poor engine quality led to its demise RIP. Interior feels tight for me and the lacked the quiet smooth ride I was expecting.. currently own a 17 accord and highly recommend to anyone

As I expected based on several articles or reviews I read beforehand. However, several things irk me: 1) can’t name saved spots in Nav, 2) rear view mirrors don’t mechanically retract and 3) control panel doesn’t retract downward and no options of buttons; and, 4)some of the interior isn’t comparable to other “luxury” SVUs.

Ride, acceleration, handling, comfort, getting in and out, interior noise, sound system, rear leg room, cargo space/ergonomics - all 5 stars. Gas mileage - 4 stars. Maybe 4.5, it is really torquey. Infotainment system (touchpad) and transmission controls - total fail. OK, that's an exaggeration - 2.5 stars. I give Acura points for trying the touchpad, but at the end of the day, there's no good way to control that much information and a touchpad in a car just isn't a good idea. It's shaky, quirky, hard to hold on the smaller icons, and there's not enough definition between highlighted and not highlighted items so sometimes, I click the wrong thing. Other than the touch pad, the infotainment system is still weak. I get the spinner icon for up to 10 minutes (maybe longer, seriously) on the Sirius app from startup. I can get to the grocery store and never have control of the screen because it's still spinning. Can't change stations, etc. The split screen is another great idea that just doesn't deliver. Navigation is next to useless. It doesn't recognize anything I say, so unless you want to pull over and park and deal with the touchpad to tap out an address, good luck. I love Apple Car Play - works great, you're limited to areas with reliable internet to start using google maps, so, a bit of a drawback. You can download maps for areas of no coverage. I've had the car for 7 months and 5,000 miles. I don't know if I'd buy another or not. Apparently, all the other car manufacturers are struggling with their infotainment, as well. I bought the car solely on reputation, reliability, and resale history. I certainly don't regret the purchase, but there was no reason to do that with the shifter. I see no benefit whatsoever and I hate it every time I have to change out of drive. You have to put the car in park from neutral before shifting to drive. That means you have physically stop the car in the line at the car wash before you can pull out. Then there's an inordinate delay between pushing the Drive button and the transmission actually shifting to drive. Ugh!

Contrary to a lot of the reviews, I found the infotainment system very intuitive. Considering the average age of buyers, I do understand why some may have an issue with it but for me it’s so much safer to use since you barely have to take your eyes off the road. It looks stunning and handles really well. So far I’ve had zero issues and I will update if I find anything.
