Used 2019 Acura RDX Consumer Reviews
Superb cruiser
Replace a Hyundai Santa Fe. I am in my 70s, time to spoil myself. This is primarely used to travel from Ontario to Florida. The ASpec is a superb cruiser, comfy with great dynamics. Love the Lane Keeping Assistance system, reduces my effort during long days on the road. The seats are very comfortable. We both hate the GPS, the touch pad is not user friendly. Would certainly buy another RDX but they could change the infotainement system. Only problem it is now my wife's car!

Great Auto!
Having owned the RDX since September, I can truly state it’s amazing. A nice blend of performance and style. Two quirks: apple car play can take 2 or 3 attempts to connect and the auto_idle off feature (at full stop) is annoying. Definitely turn that off if you’re at an intersection where acceleration is required.

Very impressive
This was my first Acura. The technology reviews made me a little nervous but after driving it and finding it very easy to use I knew I made the right decision. Love the look, the feel and the technology.

Owned it for 10 months now
So far so good. Ride is a little harsh on the potholes but expected with the low profile tires and it's an Aspec trim. Voice commands are almost useless and navigation could be faster, built-in navigation is worst compared to Waze and Google Maps in terms of routing. Acura did a poor job with quality control as there are panel misalignments on the exterior. Other than those small quirks, it's perfect! It's fun to drive, the K20C4 has no problem pulling the 4,000lb SUV forward especially in Sport+ mode. If you want more fun, try remapping the ECU to unlock more power and you'll enjoy it way more! Smoother shifts and harder pulls, it should have been like this from the factory. Active safety features do tend to help on the highway and city streets. Couldn't comment on the long term reliability yet, but looking forward to it. Snow mode makes it feel really grippy and stable on snowy and slippery roads. They finally added Android Auto, so far the first version works but still needs improvements and optimizations. I've been a Honda consumer ever since, reliability was never a problem before, so hoping the same with Acura.

Hidden Weakness Not Usually Mentioned in Reviews
I've driven (and mostly loved) the 2019 version which, as the review notes, is identical to what is now offered for 2020. A longtime owner of Ford SUV's, the upgrade in style, features and performance has been nice--but badly tarnished IMHO by an epic fail. Despite repeated promises that "it's coming soon and will be available to all new-generation RDX owners," for more than a year since the August 2018 release of the new-generation 2019 RDX, Acura has STILL not delivered on its commitment to provide Android Auto in addition to Apply CarPlay which is offered. Worse, the automaker has remained silent and stonewalled owner inquiries as to WHEN the promise will be kept. That's an approach unworthy of a company that insists it offers superior quality and service--and charges commensurately. Statistics say most phone users have Android, not i-Phone, so why they treat Android users this way is a frustrating mystery. If you're in a state where it's not legal to hold a phone to your ear and don't want to fool with Bluetooth headsets when you get behind the wheel, this is an important shortcoming by Acura. And worse: if they haven't been honest, attentive and forthcoming about this, what else are they fudging?
