What’s new
Changes this year are minimal. ABS is now standard on LE models. SE models can be equipped with a snazzy Rallye package designed for those trying to disguise the fact that they are driving a minivan -- it includes two-tone paint treatment, tinted glass and 15-inch alloy wheels. Lastly, the four-speed automatic transmission benefits from engineering refinements.
Cost to DriveCost to drive estimates for the 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3dr Minivan and comparison vehicles are based on 15,000 miles per year (with a mix of 55% city and 45% highway driving) and energy estimates of $3.64 per gallon for regular unleaded in Ohio.

Not the whole package
Eagleeye, 02/09/2004
1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3dr Minivan
This is a well designed vehicle from a
comfort standpoint, but one with
engineering design and manufacturing
flaws that are exasperating. We had to
replace our transmission at about
40,000 miles. This has been a common
problem that Chrysler has never seemed
to fix. The paint peeled off of the
roof really early. Goop (too much
sealant) ran from the windows. Clothes …
hooks broke, the tape player broke; the
front speakers need to be replaced.
The remote entry devices in the door
broke. On and on. It made me worry
for Detroit's future against foreign
competitors.

Bad Transmissions

1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3dr Minivan
Currently at 106,000 miles. Had to
replace transmission at 100,000. This
is the second Voyager I have owned,
had to replace the transmission on
both. Other repairs normal for it's
age. When working, I like vehicle,
just can't deal with the transmission
problems anymore.

1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3dr Minivan AWD
This is the second AWD Plymouth Minivan that I"ve owned. The previous one a1991. It is too bad that Chrysler is no longer making AWD available on the 2005 models. These are excellent all weather vehicles and by far more useful than any SUV out there. I'm surprised the automotive press did not heap more praise on these totally capable vehicles. Besides the typical belts and hoses I've had … 50,000 miles of trouble free use and now have 158,000 miles on it. It will still make someone a good winter car as I'm replacing it with a'97 Town & Country LXI AWD with less miles. The major design flaw was the rear heater tubes that rust out. I replaced them twice.

1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3dr Minivan
My v6 Voyager has 90,000+ and is the most reliable auto I've owned. I love all the travel accessories and the ride is excellent. Gas mileage is not as good as I would have liked but not bad either. Only complaint is it seems to go thru tires quickly. No repairs just maintance items so far.
