First off, this is not a car for
everyone. If you want a perfectly
reliable car you never have to think
about, buy a Honda. If you want
power, style, luxury, and value, buy a
Mark VIII. If you love cars or have
some mechanical ability, you can fix
many problems yourself for a
I average 22.2mpg in mixed
city/highway driving. I had a worn
spark plug boot cause a misfire ($4
part, replaced it myself) and a seat
heater went out (not fixed yet).
Otherwise the car has been rock-solid
If you're willing to do a little
upkeep, you will love the Mark VIII.
