2014 Chevrolet Volt 4dr Hatchback (gas/electric hybrid DD)
I have had our 2014 Volt for just about a month.
Its been very impressive. My only disappointment is that in very cold weather, below 15 degrees, the gas engine is programmed to come on instead of just using the battery all the time.
As I have gotten to know more about the car, it continues to amaze me with all of its technological features, from the remote start from your smartphone, to the car turning the seat heaters on when you sit down, and automatically reducing the seat heater temp when they warm up.
I like being able to drive an electric car, with no range worries that is sharp looking and truly fun to drive.
Heated leather seats are very comfortable and the three step heater really works well.
On the highest setting they heat up quite quickly, and you soon can turn them down if the car hasn't done automatically.
The car is extremely fun to drive.
I absolutely love the way the regen slows the car and puts the energy back into the battery.
I hardly ever use the brakes.
Steering wheel feel seems just right.
I love the LCD screens, its got a very classy interior.
Where the rear view camera is positioned it gets extremely dirty very quickly on wet slushy roads. Its then hard to see out of when you are backing up. Change the programming to allow the car to go all electric in temps below 15 degrees as long as you have say 5 miles left on the battery.
If the battery runs low then turn on the gas engine to provide heat and extra electricity.
Add an option for heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
Its alot more energy efficient to heat the steering wheel and rear seats vs the air.
