2004 Audi A8 L quattro AWD 4dr Sedan (4.2L 8cyl 6A)
This is a great care to look at and it can be fun
to drive. Unfortunately, Audi never got the
transmission down. If you don't mind an
unpleasant surge as you commence to
accelerate from a stop, you will be happy. It
drives me nuts. Also, don't buy the 19" wheel
version as the ride quality tradeoff is drastic.
Audi advertises as the "Intelligent car" but the
nav system is difficult to operate and that pop
up screen to control the radio sucks.
The engine roars! The interior is plush. The
gas mileage is excellent unless you put your
foot through the floor.
I miss my Jag! The ride of the Audi is a long
way from being that of an XJ8. They have to
get the bugs out of this transmission. You
shouldn't pay 75K and get whiplash....
