Used 2020 Volvo XC40 Consumer Reviews
no entry level Volvo
I traded my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for my XC40. I could have purchased any Volvo in their lineup but I was attracted to the XC40 R Design. Mine is bursting blue. I have about 1000 miles on it and I simply love it. The ride is outstanding,it is very quick and it handles the road like a nimble athlete ! My back seats are permanently down and I cover the back with a quilted movers blanket. I like the 2 person wagon . I did this with my Wrangler as well. The Volvo is a solid, quality vehicle and I look forward to driving it every day. It takes hi test gas and I knew that before diving in. Why would anyone expect to run regular gas in a Turbo high performance engine ? Maximum performance is a must for me ! The controls are mostly on the touch screen and you get used to it pretty quickly. My only complaint is as follows. When you changed radio stations in the Jeep , or any of the Subaru Outbacks I had , the song that comes on starts at the beginning ! I was totally spoiled by that feature over the years. Now when I change stations, I hit songs that are already playing. WTF ! All around fun and enjoyable ride. Oh yeah ,comfy seats as well !<br>

Design and drive caught my attention
Fast, intuitive, modern, lots of tech features that work really well, quiet drive: I went from a Mercedes e class convertible to a small suv and am happy about the change. First time Volvo owner so I’m really liking the look and drive feel.

My Volvo XC40 T5 AWD R-Design is the best value
Excellent subcompact SUV with great value and safety features. I love it. Amazing driving experience. The Gas level digital indicator unreliable. It keeps changing with no relevance to the distance driven. You will have to look at the actual gas level indicator icon rather than the digital display, a bit weird. All else is great. It has been 2.5 years. The vehicle sat in the garage for almost 1.5 years (COVID). Enjoying the drive. The best vehicle purchase ever.

Love that inscription Xc40
Owen 5 Volvo’s 1 wagon , 2 convertibles , 2 xc90 and now my Inscription xc40. Its a very roomy suv. I can zip around town easier then my previous xc90’s. And long trips it’s jest as comfortable as the xc90. So happy Volvo came up with this one. Too, it’s Beautiful inside and the out side is sporty. Jest love my INSCRIPTION XC40

Great little SUV
We ordered the 2020 XC40 Inscription in late January 2020 and it was delivered in late April right in middle of pandemic. It replaced a 2005 Volvo S40 that died of head gasket failure recently. We wanted another Volvo sedan of this size but... We have not taken any long trips yet and it only has 300 miles. It is Inscription with advanced package and parking assist. Gas mileage is low at about 18 mpg. It is taking us some time to familiarize with all tech assist safety stuff. It certainly has more eyes and better hearing than we have. I am hoping that it is reliable as the S40. We only have about 2500 miles on the XC40. No problems so far. One long road trip of about 900 miles. We highly recommend the pilot assist package! That really makes interstate driving less tiring. I have not found the parking assist very useful. We never parallel park and the reverse in parking lot assist is too slow. We now have 12700 miles. All is good. no failures. Updated maps and that is a pain. started using the 360 view when parking more regular. that is nice. still liking Pilot assist on interstate trips. I do not think I want any more self driving assistance.
