Used 2004 Volvo S60 Consumer Reviews
S60R Delivers!
The car has been a delight to drive. The handling is excellent, acceleration and torque are as advertised. Brakes offer amazingly short stopping distance. The interior is great, especially the really soft leather (I have the navy blue and I would highly recommend that color)and the seats are the typical Volvo--very comfortable. This car combines sportiness with practicality quite well.
10k Review
M3, S4, WRX Sti and Cobra all considered. The R was by far the best buy based upon performance, technology, safety, and comfort. Stunning performance from a 2 ton sports sedan! Has a quality feel/look that easily matches BMW/Audi. Nordkap leather is unique and looks much better than the brochure. Have had no major problems, but have experienced the back- fire between gear changes. Volvo says no problem but still think back-fire is a little tacky for such an advanced automobile. The active chassis is awesome! Overall, the R is a real bargain in terms of price, performance, quality, technology and possibly most important--safety.
The Best Car I've Ever Driven!
This is honestly the funnest car that I have ever been in. Volvo has finally made a sports sedan that can easily beat the stuffing out of any BMW 3 or 5 series along with an Audi A-4 or A-6 with caonsiderable rivalry with a Mercedes E55 AMG. The Volvo S60 R is hands-down the greatest sports sedan ever!
PURE, UNADULTERATED PERFOMANCE
WOW ! i drove this car in New York in April, one month before it was released in the USA. It was for the volvo perfomance driving school. Handling, speed, power, comfort, everything, just perfect ! if anyone wants to know anehtin bout it, im here ! just ask !
Enjoyable, but quality concerns
The dealer experience was only average at best, however I felt the S60 offered the best value. I also strongly preferred the European feel of this car to its Japanese made competition. Car is very well laid out, has a fantastic all wheel drive system.
