Used 2005 Volvo S40 T5 Fwd 4dr Sedan (2.5L 5cyl Turbo 6M) Consumer Reviews
Sporty with safety build in
The Volvo S40-T5 is a compact family car with the driving charactistics of a sports car. The adjustability of drivers seat and steering column make it even for a tail person like myself possible to be confortable in the S40- T5. Acceleration is impressive but will not set track records. The car is very sturdy built and the excellent reputation that Volvo has regarding safety was one of the factors why I bought the S40-T5. If you are like me and keep your vehicles for a long time (8-10 years)A Volvo is the car to consider.
Couldn't be happier
We named our Swedish beauty Thor, and we honestly couldn't be happier with the performance, sexiness, drive, reliability, and overall feel of the car. On the freeway, cruise control is the only way to go if you want to avoid getting a speeding ticket. The car just itches to go fast. Fuel economy could be better, but what do you expect with such a powerful engine? Three years of driving this car and we are still deeply in love.

Fun! Fun! Fun!
I've always had an eye out for the S40's. I happened to purchase one the dealer bought just for show. There is nothing left out of this car, every option imaginable including the sports package. I now drive the only car like it within a 500 mile radius which makes it really unique. Great acceleration, and handling, with a mild set back that the radio might quit working and have to be turned off and back off. But its fun to pull up to a Mustang GT at a light and show 'em that Fords arn't the best in Texas!
Volvo interior is a modern dream!!!
After picking up the Volvo S40 T5 2005 in Sweden and driving it around Sweden all the way to Italy and now all around the State of Texas - the performance of the T5 will knock you back in your seat and the 0-60 and 0- 100 is great (Gotta love the "AUTO BAHNNNNNNNNNN").
Nothing more than problems.
In the first 24 hour, the car had to be towed back to the dealer. Problems with the car's software. Two months afterwards, problesm with the key, could not start the car. Terrible service, no one is responsible for the car. Not the dealer, nor Volvo, nor Ford. If I could sell it right away, I would. The car is now parked in the dealer station. Complaining for about two moths with local authorities. No commitment at all.
