Used 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan Consumer Reviews
Love my new Tiguan
I’ve had sooo many VWs. Lots of Jettas including the sport wagon. But the Tiguan is really something. I’m higher on the road, lots of safety features and a smoooooth ride. The acceleration is a bit on the slow side in drive, better in sport mode. Feels luxurious enough to me!

Great
Recently purchased a 2019 Tiguan SEL. I LOVE the car! The ride is very nice & the cabin is quiet & well appointed.Technology abounds in the SEL model.I'm not concerned with the con of poor acceleration as it is an SUV and not a sports car.

5 years of trouble free ownership!
Purchased a new 2019 after also experiencing no issues with a 18 Passat. Now after roughly 5 years I can report this car has been completely trouble free. Only back to the dealer for a software update. Otherwise oil changes every 5000 miles. I think 10k is too long of an interval. 65,000 miles and will now replace the tires. Extremely satisfied with this vehicle

I love my Tiguan SE with the panoramic sunroof
This is not my first Volkswagen, I traded in my 2012 Volkswagen Eos in on the new Tiguan. In my opinion the Tiguan is the best value in the compact suv range. I looked at the Toyota Rav4, the Honda CR-V, Mazda Cx 5 as well as the Subaru Forester. I love the handling of the Tiguan as well as the fact that it has a real automatic transmission. In order to get the features that are standard on my Tiguan SE all of the other brands topped out well over 35,000. My only complaint about my Tiguan is the annoying stop start system. I guess that I have to get used to switching it off when I start the vehicle, all new vehicles have this system. I have not had any of the complaints that I have read about on Edmunds such as the rattling or sunroof leaks. I find the Tiguan's 2.0 Turbocharged engine very responsive. 6 months later and I still love my Tiguan.

Great car, great value
Car is awesome. It's a great value and feels well made all around. Great cross country comfort and gas mileage. I would not quite call it sporty, it could use a little more torque off the line but it's not exactly underpowered. The engine is noticeable under spirited acceleration but I kinda like the sound. Reminds of the first gen TDIs in the 90s in Germany - the sound, not so much the torque :-) The 8 speed auto works well to get you going and once you are at 30+mph you move smoothly and quietly. We love it, get the moon roof in the SE, you don't really need anything else. Interior is nice, safety feature are complete. Remember the SE is below 30K MSRP, it's a tremendous value. The '19 still have 7 year 72k warranty which is not bad either. We are very happy with the car.
