Used 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan Consumer Reviews
My SECOND Tiguan
I owned a 2012 Tiguan before I purchased my 2019 Tiguan. The comfort of the older model had me a little intimidated when they change it over, I actually hesitated to get the new one because my older one was so comfortable! But I started running into expensive repairs on my '12 model at 150k miles, so I figured it was now or never! I was worried it wouldn't be as good. I WAS WRONG! It's just as comfortable, if not more! I didn't want the sunroof, which apparently is hard to find. I also didn't get the 3rd row seats as they are only big enough for kids and I don't have any little ones. The 6 year (72,000) mile warranty is the BEST. I also was able (AND RECOMMEND) to get the service package. That covers all my service up to 50k miles! The minor complaint I have is the USB slots. There are two and if you have two phones connected the poor system gets very confused on which one to allow on the app... I just want them to charge but they render my phone useless if I am not using the app. Not supposed to be driving and using the phone anyway, so it's a light complaint. The back up camera is the best quality one I've seen in a car in the last 3 years. My husband's 2015 tiguan's camera is very low quality, but the 2019 one is very clear! In sport mode, the Tiguan excels on the pedal but in normal and Eco modes: it feels a bit sluggish. I'm averaging 33 MPG in my commutes for the first 500 miles I've driven the car. It's so quiet and a very comfortable ride. I love the push start, and I'm SO GLAD I can turn off the Stop-Start Mechanism. Wish it would remain off, since you have to deactivate it with every start of the car, but since I actually CAN turn it off, again, light complaint. The radio/touch screen is very user friendly. I have it set to turn off every 10 seconds, but the sensor notices your hand coming towards it so it's easy to flash on. The bluetooth is seamless and I'm really glad they added the app, so my phone's navigation (Google Maps) can be see on the touch screen. All in all, I love the vehicle so far and I hope for many more years to come!

Awesome SUV
Smooth ride with quiet interior. Very responsive brakes. Underestimated fuel efficiency.

problem with windows drivers side.
I am genuinely Happy withmy vehicle however all of a sudden the drivers side front window lowering and raising is making noises also within the back door also on the drivers side there is a noise every time I hit even the smallest bump also makes noises when lowering and raising the rear window pretty much there are problems with raising and lowering all windows. I have purchased Volkswagens since 1973 have never had any problems with any of my vehicles. I believe in the period of time I have never whether the vehicle was brand new or used. Was really excited to purchase a Tiguan and when all of a sudden I am having problems I am truly disappointed. My vehicle is a 2019.

Best Small SUV
Unless you’re looking for ultra luxury or a supercar moniker on your small SUV, you need to check out the new Volkswagen Tiguan. The redesign has the best passenger room and cargo space in its class. Sleek exterior, high quality interior, and top notch technology. Even in the SE model (next up from base), this baby comes loaded with features you’ll have to pay several thousand more for in a Toyota or Honda. Getting better than advertised gas mileage: 25-30 city, 33-36+ highway...and this is AWD! Fun to drive. Grabs the road better and more responsive than the Japanese vehicles I’d driven for 2 decades (including Lexus and Infiniti). I keep it in Eco mode and shift back and forth to Sport to get more pickup when needed. German attention to detail is evident in every feature and makes this car look and feel luxurious. This is my first Volkswagen after driving Lexus, Infiniti, Toyota, and Honda for 20+ years. Makes me wonder why I haven’t considered VW before. This SUV looks great, is fun to drive, and is a hit with the kids for road trips and around-the-town driving. Downsized from a 2007 Infiniti QX56 to the 2019 Tiguan. I’m saving $500+ monthly in gas and insurance. I’m really enjoying this vehicle. Very happy with my purchase. If you haven’t considered VW before, take a look.

Love my Tiguan...except....
I have had my Tiguan for 2 months now. I love everything about this SUV from the interior , handling , speed.. etc. my 2nd week with the car , I made a right turn and water poured into my lap from the interior lights. I had to pull over. There was a nasty rain storm that day.p I called VW right away and brought it in. After 4 days, they couldn’t find anything and I picked up my car. 2 days later..... I made a right turn and water poured in again!!! This time, it made its way into the fabric!!! I brought my car in again! This time I was quite upset since the dealership is 30 miles away! They had my car for about a week and ended replacing the assembly of the panaramic sun roof. All seems fine for a few weeks , no water from the lights or on the fabric by the lights. Yesterday, I looked over to the passenger side window and noticed huge water stains by the handle and sun visor. They were not there when I picked up the car the 2nd time. I am so frustrated with this situation at this point. Hope to have it resolved quick
