VW Tiguan is the very exciting and safe vehicle

I have had several VW products, Always been reliable truth be told. Started with 1998 Jetta that I had 300000+ miles, I beat on this car the last 100K, sold running perfect. So Tiguan, somewhat quiet, has to change stock tires to larger wider tires, super quiet now. Handles unbelievable at all speeds, ex Trooper and I run 80-90 all the time, never sways, shakes, very well built, seat are hard when new, but break in nice. Using the transmission in sport mode wakes the car up, I do not run the required 0-20 oil! I run 5-30 LL euro oil with 5K changes. engine purrs. Maintenance is the key to owning these car. FYI No disappointments.

Bought this new in Dec. 2019 for my wife. Love the auto adjust headlights, premium sound and the comfortable upgrade leather seats. We have 30,300 miles and have loved every mile. Peppy engine and gets mileage as advertised. We have the third row seat and use it very little but it is only fit for children. No issues with the car to date and looking for many more miles of joyful driving.

How to get 34mpg

User the force Luke. Do you have crv mpg envy? Tip number 1. Use Tiguan low rpm peak. Let Tiguan accelaerate light on gas pedal. Too 2. Use Tiguan excellent control and don’t break when turning left. Up to 40 mpg or safe speed. Tip 3. Let Tiguan coast on highway. Don’t apply sudden gas. Just stay in right lane at constant speed. The result is crv owners will envy your 33mpg real world mileage

50k mile review

2019 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line 4MOTION 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

I have a 2019 Tiguan SEL Premium R Line 4 Motion. I bought it brand new and drive it off the showroom floor with 4 miles on it. The vehicle now has 50,100 miles. I recently started shopping for a possible replacement. After checking many competitors and looking at the Atlas Cross Sport, which is my first choice as a replacement, I have decided to keep my Tiguan. Nothing comes close to the features and overall appearance of the Tiguan. While shopping around, a stranger pulled up in a Chevy pickup and asked how I like my Tiguan. I told him it is the best car I have ever owned. I currently also have a Mercedes Benz E400 coupe. It is not as well equipped as my Tiguan, though it is considerably more opulent. Admittedly, the Tiguan has a lot of plastic, though it definitely does not look cheap. Every feature works magnificently. The ONLY issue I have had with the Tiguan was a memory seat issue that the dealer fixed by replacing a computer. Otherwise it’s been oil changes and tire rotations only. I get 30+ mpg on highway and 27 mixed. Very happy with mileage. Acceleration is fine. In sport mode it’s plenty quick. It’s not a sports car or an AMG, if someone wants that level of performance, it’s available for a heftier price tag. If you drive this car, with its digital dash, great stereo, lane keep assist, lane change assist, all LED lighting, stop and go cruise, tire pressure monitors, would smooth and quiet ride and fantastic German quality, you’re going to fall in love. I love my Tiguan and tell my fiancé daily how much I love my car. Give one a try.

All around nice compact SUV

Without third row seat, rear seating is very comfortable and storage space is nice for the segment. The 2.0 turbo and 8-speed transmission work well, although the turbo can be slow to spool up. Very comfortable ride with responsive steering. AWD is my favorite feature. Driving in the snow was a snap. I could feel the AWD system adjusting to changes in traction and I never felt I was out of control.
