Looking at your recent reviews of minivans, and of factors not stressed enough: I would like you to better examine:
CARGO USE: While people-hauling is important, of course, minivans are also used for hauling cargo and for towing. Yet, many reviewers ignore those functions, often to discuss trivialities like built-in vacuum cleaners.
> CENTER-SEAT REMOVAL to maximize cargo-hauling. The … 2021 Toyota Sienna FAILS on that, not allowing any removal due to a "curtain airbag" excuse, which does not seem to bother the Honda "Odyssey" or the Chrysler "Pacifica." (I have had two Chrysler "Town and Country" minivans where all the fatter, comfy seats could be easily removed.)
> CENTER-SEAT AND REAR-SEAT COMFORT: "Fold-into-the-floor" seats seem to be thinner and less comfortable for long journeys than removable seats. Do the your adult reviewers ever ride hundreds of miles in these middle or rear seats?
> MPG: If there was ever a vehicle that needs higher-MPG, it is a modern minivan. Yet: the non-hybrid, pure-ICE gasoline versions seem to get the same around-town MPG as 20 years ago. Why?
> AWD: This is a straightforward engineering add-on to any hybrid/ICE vehicle. The 2021 Toyota "Sienna" seems to have figured it out by powering the front wheels with a gasoline ICE engine, and the rear wheels as needed with an electric motor.
> TOWING: Any minivan, hybrid or not, with any kind of ICE gasoline engine should be able to tow at least 2,500 lbs, or, better. the more-usual 3,500+ lbs. Reviewers often seem to ignore this capability. NOTE: The Chrysler "Pacifica Hybrid" seems to FAIL on this as it seems not to be able to tow anything without voiding the warranty.
> STYLING: To my eyes, the Chrysler "Pacifica" and Honda "Odyssey" have acceptably-styled "faces." The 2021 Toyota "Sienna" FAILS: its unnecessarily enormous grille is annoyingly bizarre. (This could be "remedied" a bit by buying a dark body color, or by taking the vehicle to a paint shop to disguise the lower-third of its enormous dark grille with a body-matching paint.)
> HYBRID (Electric): Some reviewers gets tangled up ideologically in seeing all supposedly "renewable" (electric) tech as "good." But the reality is that almost ALL electric vehicles get their batteries recharged by their GASOLINE-powered ICE engines ("Prius") or from the electrical grid that actually powered by NATURAL GAS, some nuclear, some coal, some hydroelectric, a bit of wind, etc. These 2021 vehicles will be long gone from consumer use a generation or more BEFORE the electrical grid is expanded enough to move dispersed renewable energy around the country to where it is needed.
> TAX CREDITS AND INCENTIVES: You should emphasize a need to shift the current consumer tax incentives to the manufacturers or dealers for each product actually sold to the public. That way, the average consumer would see a DROP IN THE HIGH RETAIL PRICE, thus boosting demand, as opposed to the current "rich person's" price-adjustment via tax credits. Either way, the federal and state treasuries are subsidizing these purchases, but at least the middle- and working-classes who pay far less in taxes would benefit, too.
