Toyota trucks are awesome, but a Toyota Tacoma with a 2.7 engine is a total, miserable combination. I wish I had never let the dealership talk me into buying it. The MPG is no better then the V6, because of the weight it has to pull it's self around with. Stay away from the 2.7.

Owned a 2002 Tacoma for 17 years and 361,000 miles without one problem. Bought new 2019 V6 Tacoma without test driving it -- big mistake. Vehicle has an annoying shutter when braking. Toyota says its normal and I will just have to get accustomed to it. Beware of Tacoma!

Wrong choice !

2019 SR5 Access Cab with low speed shudder/vibration when driving below 30 mph. Returned to dealership twice . First visit was a waste of time. Second visit rear brake drums were replaced for being out of round. What a joke. I am very unhappy with this purchase. I owned a Camry and Corolla and did not have issues. Does not appear that Toyota wants to address the problem or they would resolve this problem. I have found several forums and comments about this same issue. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone!!!!

DONT BUY THIS TRUCK!!!!!

Traded my 2014 Tacoma for a 2019 Tacoma, worst mistake of my life. The truck has a slight skip as though one of the cylinders is miss firing. its subtle, but its there. Towing my 18 foot boat and its very noticeable. In stop and go traffic the engine bogs down and you have really step on the gas and the truck slingshots you. Also the auto interior rear view mirror doesn't work. Brought the truck to the dealership TWICE to correct these problems but no go. As far as the mirror goes, the tech shined a light to the mirror and it worked. I did the same thing and it worked fine. But in REAL nighttime traffic, no go. My next trip to the dealership in a couple of weeks will not be pleasant! Worst Toyota I have EVER owned and I have owned quite a few over the years . DONT BUY THIS POS TRUCK!!!!

I have owned every generation of Tacoma. I love it. My last one was a 2013 Access Cab SR5, which was totaled in a T-bone collision. I bought the 2019 Tacoma 2.7L, which, is a total disappointment to me. Engine is severely under powered. Transmission shifts all the time. Fuel efficiency is worse than before. El cheapo plastics everywhere. The security features (collision radar and lane sensor) are useless beyond marketing gimmicks - you the driver, not sensors, is the ultimate safety assurance. The only positive I can think of is the looks. I'm very disappointed.
