just traded my 2013 taco limited for a 2017 model. i hated to see the old one go but the more i drive the new one the more i am knocked out by it's performance and features. everything i didn't like about the 2013 model seems to to have been addressed by toyota in the past four years. as i understand from my salesman, toyota brought in lexus engineers and they made improvements in noise control, quietness, and the ride - and it works. if you have ever fantasized about lexus making a pickup, this is it.

The trifold bed cover that comes with the truck, even if you do not want the $650 add on, is not worth the money. It Is advertized as water resistant, however I find it is resistant to nothing. It simply leaks. Also, I don't understand for the top dollar you pay why the seats are manual adjust.

2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4dr Double Cab 4WD 5.0 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

I'm still very excited to own this Truck. It is everything I expected and then some. There's nothing I have found bad to say. It's still doing well heading towards 60k miles and still doing everything I asked it too. Much more refined than the previous Tacoma I owned.

I bought this thing for a contract of almost 60k off the lot in Flagstaff AZ. Traveling on the I 40 between Flagstaff and Winslow (54miles) to my home the truck developed a slow leak in the tire. I suspected the leak from the dealer which they denied any responsibility. Super offroad tires couldn't make a 54 mile drive on the interstate. Second issue was the constant shifting of the transmission. The things couldn't hold the legal speed limit. Often it would jump from 6th to 3rd. Again Toyota dealer stated that's the way it goes. While at the dealership in thier care someone stole the tailgate and the 200 plus dollar spare tire I was forced to buy. Dealership told me to just drive it home and they would take care of the tailgate. I called Toyota before the loan was finalized and completed. I told them I wanted to just return the truck or agree to some kind of trade. They told me basically to eat a peach. I returned the truck regardless. It literally was that bad. I promptly went to my local Ford dealer. Explained everything in detail about what was happening. He explained that the Toyota was basically worthless to dealers because of thier reputation. I simply bought an f150. 2.7ecoboost. Over 60k miles on it without a single issue. Superior fuel mileage and performance. Larger cab. End of the day? I'm still fighting Toyota over this boondoggle. I'm still liable for 12k over this deal. Aaannnd my f 150 is an absolute dream truck. Be warned......

I have had my truck now for a year and a half. This review is for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Limited SB with a folding bed cover and leather interior. I took a 2 week road trip last year and the truck is so comfortable and GPS was fantastic. My 92 year old aunt is able to get in and out of my truck with little assistance. The temperature control is very good. Great heater, great air conditioner. No mechanical issues. Backseat passengers report it's very roomy and comfortable. I'm super happy with my truck.
