Used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
rear door doesn't close
what a nightmare, 50% of the time the rear hatch doesn't close and the car doesn't lock or after starting to drive the red warning light and sound is on. got the car in august and drove 4,000 miles and the cruise control and lane assist has "no signal" and an annoying beeping and red symbols in dash board. after i park the car and turn off the engine a wheezing noise from the "park" feature. steering-lane assist too far to the left. room for improvement at 25K per vehicle.
Thumping noises when braking
I had a 2015 Rav 4 and loved it. After just 2 months loud thumping noises when braking. Tech said solution was to not drive in ECCO mode but in Sports Mode. Ridiculous solution since I will be using more gas. Overall car is noisy besides the thumping.

Don’t buy!
I got my 2019 RAV4 limited in August. It has 2000 miles on it and has been in the shop several time for the SAME interior cabin noise. We filed a complaint with Toyota corporate because of issues with our local dealer and I asked about the lemon law and they turned into complete jerks! The car is insanely noisy inside and the engine as well. It’s very slow and sounds like it might blow up when you have to accelerate! After they finally seemed to have fixed the interior noise for the 4th time, I’m now hearing a strange whistling noise from the engine when my AC is running. I have a feeling this is going to be never ending. This was my first Toyota and I will NEVER buy one again. I already have plans to trade in already and take a loss.

Peppy SUV with noisy transmission
I purchased the new 2019 RAV4 in March. As others have stated, the transmission is a nightmare, shifts very jerky and its LOUD. Then I started to notice a mooing noise. I called dealer and they replaced the entire clutch system!! Since it was under warranty, I did not have to pay for it, with parts over $1,000! I don't understand why Toyota did not send out a recall to all Toyota Owners for this replacement. I did ask them about it and they said only a few cars were affected so they only replace them if you complain!! I guess my dad was always right when he said, its best to buy a newly designed car a year after they first come out, because they can iron out all the problems in them. Shame on Toyota!!

Long waited but changed mind not to buy
Had 2 test drives of LE and Adventurer model. Well. driving is good except for louder noise of engine when accelerating. They changed configuration of parts under the hood-possible because the engine belt is so close exposed now. Can compare noise since driving 2009 one. Traction good, suspension works the way better than in older models. Front seats are same-same, even when it looks like the car got wider the middle console "ate" extra space. Exterior is ugly, very ugly. Back of the car is made completely from plastic, sales person jumped around with regular magnetic tag before driving. finally attached on the side of the car(seems I was first and saw this confusion). Did not like the paint-looks not well shiny like last layer of clear coat is missing-don't get me wrong I do worry about it because had and have paint issues with my present RAV4. Review-added features and low quality materials on the body. Will keep old one or look for another make/model. Sorry.
