2026 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews

Car looks great, but manual is confusing.
Looks cool, with newfound acceleration, yet still great mpg’s. Also, really nice safety features on top of best in class IIHS crash safety ratings. The manual, however, is difficult to follow, most likely poorly translated into English, and not user friendly. Takes forever to understand the instrument cluster symbols.

sleek new look in 2024
nice smooth ride....great gas mileage.....is difficult getting in and out of the car....ceiling or roof is lower than the original prius so you will hit your head getting in or out of the car...if you are tall this is not the car for you...but everything else is great.

review of 2024 Prius
Beautiful design: sleek, modern. Fantastic performance record and story. Once inside it felt like i was in a tunnel with large rear blind spots and a small rear window to see what little you could see. Plus it is low to the ground, so getting in and out was a factor

Don’t Get a Prius With All-Wheel Drive!
I love the car’s appearance but don’t like the gas mileage. At the moment, the odometer is stuck on 44.1. The Prius we traded for it had 52.3 on the ODO and that was over 20,000+ miles. The problem with the new one, I think, is the all-wheel drive that we didn’t want or need. Avoid all-wheel drive like the plague if you want to get the best mileage that the Prius can get.
Surprisingly Wonderful!
I test drove a 2025 Prius XLE, Mazda Miata, and Subaru Crosstrek after driving a Toyota 4-Runner for 5 years. I expected good reliability and was taken by surprise with the ride and roominess so I decided to purchase one. I've been driving it for 3 months / 2,000 miles and absolutely love it! It handles like a sports car, taking on curvy backroads just as nicely as the Miata and with better acceleration. I'm 6-ft and find the fit is just right for me. Some reviews talk about an obstructed view of the instrument cluster but I find no problem with it. The steering wheel and seat adjustment options take care of that. The hatchback design offers much more room than the Miata and it has 4 doors and a backseat. It has just as much storage as the Subaru, and much better performance and comfort. The build quality feels solid for such a small car and I'm confident I will get many miles of low mpg reliability with this beauty (54 mph without really trying).
