I really Like it
Not a blast to drive by any means, but who are we kidding? Anyone who buys this vehicle is doing it for reliability, fuel efficiency and functionality. I have had my Prius V for a little over 3 weeks and just filled up for the 2nd time- Very happy I averaged 51.61 mpg, driving to maximize fuel efficiency as much as possible. Makes me feel good to know that if I drove it like I drove any other car, I would still probably easily attain the 42 mpg average on the sticker.
Great car
Drives better than expected. Lots of room, smooth transition between electric and gas engine. Kids love the tech features. Coming from an Audi A6 and thought it would be painful but not as difficult as expected as you feel great with a hybrid. the only downside is that with 200 miles on the car the MPG reported from car is 33.8 and I hope this increases as the car gets broken in

2012 Prius v a Dud
In 2012 my hubby and I purchased a brand new Prius v. Paid $27,000 for it. Drove it for 8 years. It had just 94,000 miles on it. In July of 2020 I had to take it in for service at the dealer. That is when I found out it had a cracked engine head. Really! At only 94,000 miles I needed a new engine at a cost of $6,000 on a car worth $9,000. My prius had always been serviced regularly. Oil change, tire rotation and brakes replaced. My husband passed away in October of 2019 and my Prius v was suppose to go another 100,000 miles and now I need a new car. Needless to say it wasl not a Prius. Toyota gave me a $4,500 trade in on my Prius towards a Corolla, surprise. Now I’m in debt for a 2021 Toyota Corolla. Sure hope I have better luck with this Toyota. I tell you this to warn anyone thinking about purchasing a used Prius v, beware you to may be in for an unpleasant and expensive surprise
Navigation system
It was my understanding that Toyota had made changes to the Nav system so it was more user friendly. I'm fairly good with gps systems but the voice activation on the Prius V 5 is pretty bad. I even called the dealer to help me and he couldn't help until he talked to his tech on Monday. The vehicle is amazing in every way except that. Up to now I haven't been able to find a forum or site that helps in that area.
Great , economical utility wagon and family car.
Perfect for folks with small family , or adventurous singles that need the cargo space. We can get lots of gear in this car that has more cargo capacity than some midsized SUV s . And fantastic gas mileage of 43 to 56 mpg. Lowest on interstates and best on rural country roads where your speeds average 50 mph. Love this car except for the front seat comfort. Too stiff , but they made it better in 2015. Handling is good . This is a perfect alternative to a small SUV with double the gas mileage. Reliability is Toyota terrific. Superbly dependable as with all the Toyota s I have owned.
