2012 Prius V - GREAT vehicle - GPS terrible
The 2012 Prius V is an outstanding vehicle ... lots of cargo space, 50 mpg [CAN gal] [5.2 l/100km] .. great audio system, heated seats - seriously, a GREAT vehicle. So - why would Toyota put such a lame GPS system into such a great vehicle? Seriously - why? I have a $150 Garmin GPS that is twice as good and that I will use over the Prius GPS every time. The interface is awkward; the software usually does not "speak" street names and when it does it mispronounces them; it frequently is unable to find locations or POIs that are there but it cannot discover in its data listings .... Toyota - PLEASE reconsider [replace] the GPS system in this wonderful vehicle. And PLEASE replace mine!
Great wagon excellent economy
We have used it for several long trips and the capacity of the luggage area is ample for 5 large bags and4 adults have ample room to relax and travel quite comfortable for an 8 hour trip. Average mpg on 2 trips of 3000 miles each with 4 adults and baggage was 43 mpg.highly recommend this vehicle if you want a comfortable and economical family hauler.

Love,Love,Love my new Pearly Prius
This is my first hybrid. I have always driven the large gas hogs. I now feel free to drive by the gas stations and smile as I do not have to put more then $20 in per week. I bought the three model with the pearl white paint. It is so much fun to drive. The power button is great when you need that quick pick up to get on the highway. t the moment I'm only averaging 38 miles per gallon, not the 42 they claim. I got an amazing deal on mine. Most dealers weren't willing to drop the price but my MSRP was over $28k and I paid only $25498 and got $2500 more for my trade. I'm so happy. People just stare at me when I'm t the gas station. I know it's envy... Can't beat the savings!!!
Great Mileage
Bought the car because we are downsizing in our lives. Went from a Silverado HD pickup getting 16 mpg to the Prius V to get the great mileage & have some room for hauling stuff. It fits the bill on both counts. Currently averaging 45 mpg & have gotten as high as 54 mpg. Pretty good ride for a small car. The fit & finish are excellent as is expected from Toyota. I would sacrifice a couple of mpg's for electric adjustable seats & a more adjustable steering wheel. Toyota really dropped the ball on driver comfort with the V. Would also like to be able to adjust the Smart Key locking features without having to take it to the dealer. Overall, the car has met our expectations.
I really Like it
Not a blast to drive by any means, but who are we kidding? Anyone who buys this vehicle is doing it for reliability, fuel efficiency and functionality. I have had my Prius V for a little over 3 weeks and just filled up for the 2nd time- Very happy I averaged 51.61 mpg, driving to maximize fuel efficiency as much as possible. Makes me feel good to know that if I drove it like I drove any other car, I would still probably easily attain the 42 mpg average on the sticker.
