The Highlander is a great mix of size, comfort and performance. It's a smart value and easily competes with other similar sized vehicles.

Wow

I really love this vehicle and will consider buying or leasing another one when my current lease is up. Some concerns I have is the third row seating will not accommodate an adult, I would like to see Toyota extend the length of the vehicle by 6" to make the third row of seating comfortable for an adult. It would also be nice if the captain chairs in the second row were ventilated like the front seats. Also the headlights need to be converted to halogen bulbs because current lights aren't bright enough.

Door Locks suck won't buy another Toyota

I have owned Toyotas for over 20 years, My Toyota Highlander automatic door lock are crap, they may or may not work both to lock and unlock your door. When they don't lock and you have to walk around to check every door, make sure you don't take your key fob that automatically unlocks the drivers door when you touch the handle!! It is a safety concern as well because if I had to get a child out of the car in am emergency there is no way other than to go to the drivers door, crawl in and try to stretch to the rear door to unlock it. The engineers and QA people from Toyota were dug up from the 70's because they are producing 70's crap again! Stay clear of this brand.
