Don’t believe the hype.
I know before I even post this, it’s going to get a lot of “I don’t know what I’m talking about” response. But this car is indeed all hype. I have owned 15, count it, 15 Subarus. This is not a Subaru. Hell, it’s not even a STI!! Which I’ve owned three of. I also live in the great NEK. So yeah, I know what I’m “talking about” when it comes to driving in the snow. This car is TERRIBLE in the snow. It’s literally its own worst enemy. All this weight they took out to make it a go cart, does you ZERO good in the snow. What kind of “rally car” has no control in the snow?! AWD doesn’t do any good is there’s no WEIGHT to push the tires into the snow. Instead, with no weight, you sit on TOP of the snow and slide around. Yes I get “drift mode” and “fun” but normal driving just to the store shouldn’t be “drift mode”. Also this AWD system isn’t designed for actual real world use, like say, driving in snow. It’s for track days and tracking. I don’t want to track, life isn’t “tracking”.. it’s about “can I even get this thing out of the driveway?! Think about this. Subarus have such a great system, some people, a lot of people, actually don’t use snow tires. I have great snow tires because I believe in them.. and I can only imagine how terrible this would be without them. It’s that bad. Honestly, you’re better off having a front wheel drive car with snow tires, than this car. Want a “fun” car in the snow.. this isn’t it. Fun, yes. Practical?! Not even close. Because fun fact.. for all the money you spend. It doesn’t even come with a spare tire. That’s how impractical this car truly is. Not to mention how draft the car is and the huge windshield.. that is to large to fully defrost. So yeah, not great.

Fun car but..
Fun little picket roacket. Awesome braking and decent handling. Shifter vague and industrial. AC struggles in 100+ heat due to lack of insulation. Very high road noise and weak stereo. Clutch went at 4K and Toyota refused to warranty. Reolacment clutch was a different part number. Toyota service as a whole has been terrible.

An absolute blast to drive
This car is simply amazing. I use this car as my daily driver and I now enjoy my drive to work. This car is quick, responsive, and feels so stable. This is easily the best car I have ever owned.

Don’t like leather interior. Would rather have base core interior. Don’t understand why they would put roof racks on sporty car. I like the way it handles and shifts. Wish blue was available on less expensive models. Glad that there are dealers who won’t gouge you on price. I really liked car, but interest rates and the idea of large payments despite a large down payment discouraged me. I do have very good credit.
