Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsI despise the clutch uptake right off the floor. That said, the 205mm-section tires require some revs to break free -- that's assuming you've remembered to disable traction control, which resets at 33 mph. Shifter feels robust, but the engine rocks on its soft mounts in protest with each aggressive upshift.
Braking ratingGood
Braking commentsA little spongy with a generous amount of dive, but the brakes themselves are effective.
Handling ratingPoor
Handling commentsSkid pad: Zero steering feel and a constantly meddling VSC makes this an annoying car to run around a circle. As it begins to wash out, VSC cuts power and/or applies a brake. Slalom: Totally numb steering system has a fairly linear yaw response with a mostly neutral cornering attitude. Obviously car is designed to understeer, and as when the car begins to rotate in quick transitions, VSC again clamps down. No need for the sporty hardware if the electric nanny sets the limits.
