Used 1991 Toyota Celica Consumer Reviews
My Celica GT
I have owned this car for 17 years now. It has been very reliable but I think this car needs a more powerful motor. I have 2.2 liter and engine performance is very weak. It has the 5 speed and it takes about 12 seconds to get up to 60 mph. Gas mileage is only 13 miles city and 15 highway it now has 206,786 miles and it's still running good. I also have a Nissan 240sx 1993 with a 2.4 liter motor and this car makes the Celica look like its standing still.
'91 Toyota Celica ST FTW! (For the Win!)
This car is just amazing! I recently bought this car two weeks and one day ago and the only things that I found wrong with the car were the trunk hinges (one of them gets stuck, but I barely use the trunk, so . . .), the car is a bit underpowered (I know it's not exactly the highest performance model, but my parent's '01 Toyota Sienna had more power), and the fact that the previous owner broke the cupholder. The car shows no sign of leakage of any fluids. The car had around 182000 miles when we bought it and the engine is in pristine condition. A bit of oil leaks into the engine, which makes white smoke come out for a few minutes, but I'm guessing that it because of the age of the car.

Get the Feeling!
Bought with 196,000 miles, now 210,000. Everyone thinks its a '96. Runs GREAT for the miles. Repairs (since purchased brand new) aside from regular maintnance have totaled less than $5000. CD player, car alarm, sun roof, 180hp engine, a/c, gas mileage. For '91 it is in a class all of its own. I plan on driving this car until the wheels fall off, you can't have it.
best car ever
we have had this car for just over 5 years now, and with over 700,000km on it still runs like new it's the 2.2 5spd version with the 5sfegt engine in it have heard rumours the 3gte engine is better but this special edition has alot of power. i've never had a problem keeping up to or passing anyone or beating them off the line and it's an old car...
Great Car
While it's technically a "sports car", it's not really that fast when compared to modern day cars of the same class. However, it has got to be one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen and certainly looks speedy. Despite it's near perfect exterior design, the interior often feels cramped and the backseat is pretty much useless. Definitely a great car to own. It's wonderful handling capabilities make it a really easy car to control and is perfect for new drivers.
