Used 2018 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
2 Years later
Traded 2011 with 52k miles. 2018 is more solid, quieter, better acceleration and features. There is a little engine noise during acceleration but hey it sounds great! The seats are great at support and the car is vault quiet. My old 2011 was the same but man this new one is “great”! I buy Toyota’s because they perform, they last and no problems. 7 years on the 2011 and I only bought new tires! I am sure this one will not disappoint. Update...2 months later. Avg mpg 24 and that is from me punching and using sport option. 2 highway trips with upper 30’s. Quiet cruiser. Red xle and multiple comments about how beautiful the car looks. Seats adjust to anyone and JBL sounds great. Not fan of scout but use Waze....need app for that Toyota! Love the car. Update 2 years later....completed Apple CarPlay download. What a difference! Waze, etc makes the media system perfect. Only 8k miles because I retired and COVID-19 but the car has been great. My only issue....JBL woofer in rear deck went bad (buzzed for every song). Toyota replaced but buzzes still once in a while. Other than that issue smooth sailing in my 2018 Camry.

GPS is DISAPPOINTING
Had I known I would have to plug my phone in to the car to get nothing more than a 2D GPS, I would never have bought the car. The GPS itself isn't user friendly.

Sharp looking, in and out, many plastic hang on's
Really sharp looking, interior and exterior. There are way too many plastic 'air dams' front and rear, that don't work, just hung on the vehicle. Why didn't Toyota just open them up? Fast! Really quick acceleration, braking top notch, dynamic cruise control a real treat! Works better than I could have imagined. Nav okay too. Stereo super sounding, JBL system. 19" wheels very sharp in appearance and ride. Gas mileage great on the highway, not so good in the city. Think it is a bit overpriced, perhaps $5000.00 or so., but everythings high today. An addendum: After 12 months of owning this high-priced Camry, found the value has gone Down by $12,000.00. A thousand dollars a month, so, along with all that I don't care for in this vehicle, the staggering value drop is astounding.

Most horrible Entertainment system and Bluetooth
I keep experiencing 2 problems regularly, which is daily. Toyota Entune system - 1. For the strangest of reasons, the songs from my USB does not play in the alphabetical order and I cannot understand its sorting order at all. I had put it in a specific order as I wanted to hear it that way. 2. Many a time, it suddenly stops playing a song and skips back to the beginning of playlist, when there is nothing wrong with the music file on the USB. If I were to come back to the song forcibly, it plays it fine. So cannot figure out why it skipped back to beginning. Bluetooth connectivity with my Phone - Almost everyday my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + fails to connect to the car on the first instance. I have to turn off and turn on the car to make it connect. I first thought it was due to cold weather this happened, though it should not be the case. But then even during warm weather, I keep seeing the "microphone is not connected" message and cannot use the calling buttons from the steering wheel or on the display. Only if I directly call from the phone, it plays it on the car audio system. I had a 2015 Toyota Sienna until last year and never had a problem at all with the bluetooth connectivity. This is most irritating and also creates problems because, I lose precious minutes in the morning when leaving to work just restarting the car and sometimes I realize this when I have traveled some distance and I have to wait to stop at a signal to restart the car. What is surprising is that I have not seen Toyota acknowledge this issue anywhere and has not made any attempt to fix the issues. I also have Chrysler Pacifica, I don't face any such problems with it

2018 Camry XLE ANTIFREEZE SMELL
I was soo excited when I bought my brand new 2018 Camry XLE 4cly Nov 2017 for my bday. It is now March 2018 and I am having a little buyers remorse. I notice the following: Antifreeze odor after driving about 30 minutes. The drivers side windshield wiper blade does not stand up (to prevent issues in freezing weather/ice). The cheap interior paint on the console easily rubs off especially by the seat belt connector. The motor is very loud. Overall the car feels cheap/cheaply made!!!! I've been a Toyota buyer for years, but I am not satisfied with this purchase at all !!! Trade in time!!!
