Great car but some flaws
I bought this new in 2004. It's reliable and I've never had any major problems with it, except cosmetically. The paint scratches very easily and the interior plastic panels came loose multiple times and I had to take it to several dealers before they fixed it for good. I wish for the money the car had a more quality interior. Mileage is excellent. The tire pressure monitor is way too sensitive and I wish it told you the pressure- sometimes it goes off it there is too much air in the tire, but you have to check the tires BEFORE adding air for this reason. The snow guard or whatever under the car came loose a few times when other people drove my car and the driver seat can come loose.
my 2004 solara
I own three solara's and i love everyone but my third solara ( 2004 solara )is the best of best of the best i have ever had. This car is so nice that it should be named the best car of the year.but i believe and it looks like this car was mixed by two other cars , The ( 2003 nissan altima ) and the ( 2003 honda accord coupe ).and the back lights of a ( 2003 nissan 350 Z ) .All but that i love it.It's the reliability that matters, its a lovely car and i hope that it suceeds in selling . The Wilder Side of Camry
The relationship between the Camry and the Solara is a lot like the whole Clark Kent/Superman setup. For example, no one would suspect that the mild-mannered Camry sedan (a splendid example of automotive perfection in its own right) and the Solara, with its slick styling, beefy V6, and road-hugging 17 inchers, are one and the same. The truth is that this is about as close to a Lexus as you can get without actually getting one. Interior materials are of the highest quality, and for a Toyota, that's REALLY saying something.
Best car I've owned
I've owned a 99 Solara and every single thing in this car has improved. More comfortable, powerful, sporty, etc. The NAV system is great and it is a joy to drive this car. It is very distinctive on the road now since very few are around (unlike the too popular Accords).
I want 2 b spoiled
Picked this baby up a week and a day ago. I've put about 650 miles on it so far. The car practically drives itself. Very smooth cruise at 80 mph.
