Used 2004 Toyota Camry Solara Consumer Reviews
Problems
Seems some Solara's have a problem. 1. on some, the tire pressure light won't go off, and the service depts don't know how to fix it. On some, the car pulls to the left, and even after 3 alignments, they can't fix it. And on some, the dashboard rattles after a few hundred miles. I got all 3 problems, and am waiting for arbitration to get my money back! :(
Very Happy
Really, what competition is there to the Solara convertible? The Chrysler Sebring is a quality joke, and actually costs more similarly equipped. The Ford Mustang is old technology, at least until the 2005's are available. (Then try to buy one for six months.) The Turbo Beetle costs two thousand dollars less, but it is definitely not in the same class. The Solara offers Toyota quality, 7 second to 60 mph performance and luxurious accomodations. This truly is a great buy.

great car
Great car but bad visibility out the back. That is the only drawback.
UNBELIEVABLE MACHINE
I've owned my Solara for 4+ years now and I have nothing but positive words for this car. I currently have around 165K on the car, primarily highway miles and it still runs as soft, smooth and quietly as it did the first day I purchased it. I'm amazed at what Toyota has done with this machine. I've only had minor repair issues in the past mainly due to my excessive driving. Only had to replace driver side window regulator because it was broken into and regulator was damaged. And I have an AC leak which I hope won't be too much of a repair before this summer hits.
