Ours is a 2009

We've loved this vehicle until today when the engine light came on and we discovered that the hybridizing engine battery replacement is almost $5,000. Also, the electrically run wheels will drive your tires off at half life. If you are buying a Toyota Camry Hybrid to save money, rethink that. The dollars you save on fuel economy is way offset by the cost of tires and that trunk battery.

I drive 30,000 miles per year and LOVE this car. Traded a Lexus RX350 and hardly note a difference, except fuel economy! I get 43 MPG most of the time, worst has been 35MPG-WONDERFUL! Not included in any recalls so expect to hold value, too. Great pickup, passing power. Love to play the how many miles per tank game, getting up to 650 per tank full. Watching the MPG screen is like playing a video game-how high can you go and keep? LOVE It! I am driving much smarter now. Driving this much means I look for comfort and this is as good as my Lexus was. I can adjust seats Up, Dwn, forward and back and tilt. It's raining and I can look over at all those wet people and drive by for days!:)

Bought this car certified used on lot with 47k miles on it. I now have 138k on it. Great car with great fuel mileage average 36-39 mpg. I change oil every 5k and rotate tires. It is rough on tires until you find the right brand. Short life with Michelin, my best is Uniroyal Tiger Paw. No complaints. I now use it driving part time for Lyft, great car for this use.

I came out of a 2008 Camry SE, I loved that car, it was totaled so I went with a 2009 Camry Hybrid fully loaded. I'm 6' 4" and its a perfect fit. Lots of room. The car shows 36-37 per gallons avg. never better then 37.6mpg

We bought the Camry at 77k on it 6 years ago and just turned 104k on it... But now we are retired and downsizing to one vehicle... we traded it in for a 2019 Highlander. All we've ever done to it is replace tires and do routine maintenence. The stereo and navigation is good but outdated now. A backup camera would have been nice. Acceleration is a blast... getting "unintended" hole shots at lights or chirping the tires pulling onto the highway is hilarious. The hybrid electric boost is quite surprizing. But now let it idle at stop lights or parking lots and the battery warning light comes on. Gas mileage was dropping off too into the mid 20's to lo 30's... where a gas only Camry lives. The days of 36 to 43 mpg are gone. At last check a battery pack sells for $3700. The leather interior was still in great shape even after carting grandkids around and going on long road trips... I'm 6'1" and the back seat is comfortable and rear leg room is great. The sunroof trim and plastic in some places developed this annoying buzz that echoed and was hard to locate... we eliminated one buzz by pinching the sunroof trim. We also got mysterious tire inflation warnings that twice messed up a couple trips to find nothing wrong. But all in all the Camry was a great car... and I would not hesitate recommending one. My only regret is the dealer low balling the trade in value to find they flipped it for 5 times that.
