Just purchased my first Avalon. I've been looking at them for a couple of years. The 2011 has everything I wanted and then some. Smooth and quite ride, with the best sound system on the market. I've owned a Sienna and a Prius and am now trading in a Honda CR-V. Look forward to enjoying many comfortable miles on the highway.

The good, the bad and the ugly

A luxury car, that is selling for an increasingly luxury price. Great quite ride which is much better handling with better road feel than I expected. The comfort and features of the interior are great. Styling is just like every other car now, boxy high sides and cat eye windows. Vision is restricted in all the new cars and it is in the Avalon too. None of these manufacturers have an original idea. If you are paying the extra 10% for the limited, the car should at least say limited on it.

Toyota's luxury car

I was thoroughly impressed when driving the 2012 Toyota Avalon Limited. The ride is so smooth and Toyota is a brand I stick with due to reputation, reliability and longevity. Both models are beautiful but the Limited model has every option I could ever ask for which makes driving it fun. The Avalon's interior is comfortable and classy. The safety features give me peace of mind knowing I am protected in case of an accident. The exterior may not be as flashy as some models but don't let that fool you. The inside packs a punch and will make driving an enjoyable experience.

I researched for several months. The car rides smoothly. The car is quiet. The gas mileage is good. Overall, you can't go wrong!

Best car I have ever had. Drove higher priced cars for years and they cannot hold a candle to this car.

4th Avalon

Between my family and I we have owned every model of Avalon Toyota has ever made. They've never been particularly striking cars, but they've been great bang-for-the-buck and the rear legroom is unbeatable. The 2011 exterior changes that, it looks 1000 times better. Unfortunately the interior seems to have been downgraded. The "faux-wood" has less shine and looks like a rental car and the fake brushed metal (plastic) center console is ugly and overhangs the rest of the dash by a good inch. The quality of the stitching in the rear seats seems lower as well. I really wanted to like this car based on the tech/look upgrades, but the interior changes are low rent. New version in 2 years.

Company Car

I recently picked up a 2011 Avalon as my new company car. Before getting company cars I have owned both the Lexus ES and GS models. While the Avalon is not a Lexus, its total package could be classified between the ES and GS. Ride and handling soft, but everything is a trade off.

poor back up camera

I purchased my 2011 with 32,000+ miles. the backup camera doesn't show evenly on the navigation screen. It isn't centered on the screen. The dealer told me after I drove it off the lot that all 2011s have this. "It is on all the 2011s". I've asked the dealer 5 weeks ago to drive another 2011 to see if that car has the same problem. So far, he said he hasn't had one to test. If anyone has this problem, please coment. Thank you.

Purchased 2011 Avalon in May 2010. Constant dead battery's. Cannot leave car over 4 days without jumping it. Not informed this is constant problem with this vehicle as it appears it is being hidden. Have much documentation but they will not put their statements in writing. Sticker price was $47,000 and it started just 10 days after taking possession of vehicles. Beware of Toyota Avalons! All back up documentation available . Toyota is ignoring this problem , It will not go away!

Not as good as I thought I was getting

Used to LeSabre. Avy does not have as many features, has a motor whine, and windows stick; trunk whams when closing. Overall ride is smooth, gas is good. Info display very limited. 1st and last; back to Buick. More bang for the buck.
