Used 2017 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
Best for mixed use city and back roads.
This is my second 4Runner and I will be keeping this one for at least ten years, mostly because I like not having a car payment every month. The 4Runner I have is a 2017 SR5, 4WD that gets decent mileage as long as I drive sensibly both in the city and on the highway. 18/24 mpg is common. I have no complaints about the car, except to say that I'd prefer a pull-out rear compartment because the one I have does not pull out and is not flat, which means sleeping in the back when camping requires extra padding to make it level, and loading heaving items is a challenge due to the sudden change in elevation. The fold-down rear seats makes the storage capacity in the back large enough for most of my needs. The surface of the center console has become brittle and it now has a couple of cracks in it which will require repair or replacement before they expand. After 50,000 miles, I have only replaced the tires and everything else is working well.

My 2017 4Runner is da Boss!
This is the 1st Toyota I've ever owned (I'll be 70 next year) and I couldn't be happier! Why did I wait so LONG? The leather heated/cooled seats are the MOST comfortable seats I've ever had in a car/truck by far! That includes Lincolns, Caddys, Fords, Chevys, Mazdas, VWs, Alfa Romeos, Dodges, Hyundais etc. This "truck/SUV" drives so smoothly, it feels like gliding on butter! Great features in my 2017 Limited with an awesome moon roof, automatic running boards, 3rd row leather seats, upgraded sound system, 4WD with X-REAS suspension and liftgate electric window. My SUV is extremely clean and was well cared for. I did change out the HID headlights for new Lasfit LEDs which make a great improvement for highway visability but that was an easy fix. All in all, I am a very happy new 4Runner owner! Doing the happy dance.

Best S UV ever!
Although I would like a 6 speed transmission, I find the power plant to be more than sufficient for my needs. The off road and towing capabilities are unmatched. Cargo space and utility are exceptional.

Best SUV ever
I have a 2017 and had a 1999 both are great . I've read reviews that doesn't give them good ratings but it is basically a truck mine are 4x4 . I don't care what they say. I simply love 4 runners and would have nothing else!

Toy4
This vehicle handles very well and the braking system is great. I have the JBL sound system which is the feature my kids like best. This vehicle climbs steep roads and mountain passes with ease. Great styling inside and out!! Dislikes about this vehicle are that many navigation and phone features do not work when the car is in motion. You have to pull over. This is very inconvenient especially traveling long distances. Also, the back seat is not comfortable for long trips offering little back/lumbar support especially compared to the Tahoe we previously owned.
