Best vehicle I have ever had
I am super happy with my 2013 SR5. The fit and finish are amazing. I love how tall the 4runner is. My wife and I both new loyal Toyota customers. For many years we had wanted ford SUVs after buying her a HIghlander Just before the snow fell last winter I have been super happy with how the Toyota has been in winter Spring and summer Driving. When I got a call from our local dealer that a 4Runner had just been traded in that I might be interested in we made the trip up there. I drove it and it just fit me. I have had a few trucks over the years and It felt like I was in my old 1979 Ford with how tall it was and the width of it. I like how it is body on frame design just like a truck. I traded in my sedan and happily drove home my new SUV. It will serve me well on future scout trips, family camping, and driving in my rural area in the winter especially since it takes them some time to get our road plowed.

Don't be fooled by the great reviews! I think people don't know any better!
I am very disappointed with this SUV! I purchased my 4 runner in 2011 and have 27,000 miles on it currently. My main issues are as follows: 1) Price to value - MSRP on my limited was $43,000+ in my opinion after owning it and driving it - its really a $33,000 SUV (or should be priced this way.) Very tinny sounding when you slam the door - seems like poor quality, somewhat underpowered, many interior features cheap and plastic, Handles poorly - (See consumer reports negative reviews) - I ignored them when i bought mine. Nav/Bluetooth very antiquated - Nav way behind the times. Bluetooth sound quality when on your phone is poor. Trunk area - slight tilt Groceries shift milk falls out/breaks
Highly overrated
in cold climate, it takes unreasonably long for the engine to get into normal operating range. (about 8 miles of driving) the interior heater is weak even at the max and takes very long to warm up the interior. Suspension is hard when driving over bumps and potholes, not good for the spine running boards are useless for a taller person as they are in the way front dives and rear moves up under hard breaking engine is loud and sounds rough around 2500rpm sheet metal is very thin, waves can be seen on the hood when going through car wash dryer
Great, the traction system is the very best.
i have used in very high snow, mud, woods, this vehicle doesn't stop or hesitate. i have owned several 4X4 systems but this one beats them all. I have the 100,000 warranty and do not use it. this is a very rugged vehicle. Thanks Toyota i recommend to anyone that needs extreme weather and terrain vehicle. this vehicle can never leave you strained.
