Rust bucket
I actually enjoy this car, however, after owning only 4 months as a used car purchase (CPO) I am discovering RUST inside and out. Car was NOT involved in any flood situation....or non reported by dealer or previous owner I should clarify. Rust found on driver side front running board, inside both front seat rails, hinges and now noticed a spot on passengers outside front door. Dealer says 'normal' and due to brine used on VT roads. He ordered some touch up paint and now I guess I have to figure out how to handle fixing issues, I can't accept this.... I was appalled when I had another garage lift the car and showed me what the car looked like underneath. All I could see was rust. He did say most of the rust was typical because the car wasn't undercoated, but what concerned him was the frame itself showed it was rusting. 2016 car only has 43K miles on it. Is there anyone else out there experiencing body and/or carriage rust????? Thinking I need to trade it in already just to get some value before I lose further. Aside from this serious concern I really do like how AWD car handles and overall perks. Phone was not always connecting and again dealer stated all car models experience that issue from time to time.

Great Buy!
I've owned this car for over a year and I really like it. I drove other more expensive competitors and this car was just as good if not better.

2016 Legacy—- dashboard warning lights on to check engine, Brakes, AVS, Eyesight, etc. Told at service—-“OK to drive” Can’t fit me in for 7 to 10 days, oil changes have priority over safety devices??? This is Service ??? Problem # 2 — plastic roof fin covering antenna gone, no replacements readily available— NEWSFLASH —-> overnight delivery AND .... I must buy an antenna and the cover as they are not sold separately. Once again I must ask, Is this Subaru’s idea of Service? Must every interaction with Subaru Service be this disheartening?

Main reason to buy it was a bust
I was driving a 2014 forester and needed better mileage due to my job. Forester had an average mpg of 25. Legacy mileage is presented at 26/36. I just drove 1000 miles, 800 on highway and my mpg is avg 29. Not the increase I was hoping for.
