Used 2005 Saturn VUE 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Red Line Great Car So Far
Bought it with 26000 miles on it as a 2 year lease return. I was reluctant to get a V6, but when I found out that Honda made the engine that was put into the Red Line, I made the leap and bought it. Mileage is not bad, but could be better- but not as bad as I thought it might have been. I average about 23-26. Great looking leather, and lots of power and torque. Glad I got it, now I can tow!
Nice all around car, but needs tweaking
I bought the VUE with the following critera - better gas mileage than most small SUVs, room for my family and our stuff, and fun to drive. I'd say that all in all, it meets those requirements. I generally get 24-25 mpg, with roughly 70% highway and 30% city driving. There's plenty of room, and it's not a bad drive. If you're looking for a car-like ride though, it's not for you. It rides more like a truck. I am a bit disappointed in the overall interior - it looks relatively cheap and plastic-y. The larger disappointment is that there is a LOT of road noise apparent in the cabin. I never thought that feature of a car would bother me like it does. I'll definitely know better next time

Engine with major pep
Even though my wife and I love to drive the new 2006 V-6 with it's 250 hp Honda engine, we have found that the comfort of the interior truly lacks creative design. I am 6'3 and i find nowhere to put my legs for real comfort on those long road trips. The floor is not flat but curves up so the foot can't rest in a normal plane. But overall, it is a great riding car.
Red Line Rocks!
Chose this over the RAV4, and it's the right choice. The car's performance has been flawless, and I'm getting about 26mpg in mixed driving. The car is a real eye-catcher, and has started several conversations already with people in parking lots. Got the Red Line with Sun & Sound package, and I can't imagine having more fun in a car. The Honda V6 is worth the extra $, thanks to its fuel economy and especially its passing power. I drove sedans all my life, and thanks to the VUE, I'll never go back. Make sure you check it out, as I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a feature-packed SUV for a very reasonable price. Oh, by the way, did I mention it comes with a free year of OnStar?
Best mini SUV period
I originally test drove cars then started with the small SUV. I drove Ford Escape, Chevy Equinox and Jeep Liberty. As soon as I drove the VUE I looked no further. The ride was the smoothest, I loved the interior and it will pass a car without any problem ( I have the v6). Love the built in cargo carrier on back as well as the radio controls on steering wheel. This SUV is 10 out of 10!
