Used 2003 Saturn VUE Fwd 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Be vey careful
Be aware when buying one of these. We had nothing but problems with ours. Stupid things such as washer fluid pump never worked, thermostat, check engine light was on the entire time that we owned it(2 years). Also head gasket and lower intake gaskets were starting to fail.Only 70,000 miles. Make sure that when they change your oil that the filter is changed, not a conventional oil filter. I would not recommend any of the VUE models, not a good design. If you must get a Saturn stick with a SC series small car.
7th one didn't cut it
We have owned 6 other saturns and was happy with all of them. I decided to turn my VUE back because of 1. excessive torque steer (almost ran off the road when passing), 2. not enough room and 3. I had it would not pull my light weight trailer without using 3rd gear of the 5 speed automatic (in other words you can't select 4th gear.

LOVE MY SATURN
I Love my Vue. I looked at other SUV's and was turned off by the fule milage they offered. I am very found of front wheel drive. I really don't need 4WR, and I don't care for RWD in the snow. Saturn was one of very few cars who offered FWR.
Saturn USA?
I had a`95 SL1,it was great, Bought VUE took advantage of the 0.0% for 5 yrs, Than whoa!! they started offering "down payment assistance",What happened with price gaurantee, they said its the manufacture that can change the price dealers won't.Than it comes with a new power train for the V6 its a Honda, they conceeded that japanese engineering is better. Still like my FWD V6 VUE, thought it had the best style and efficiency until the new one came out. Hind-sight is 20/20.....I should have bought a used Japanese SUV! Its also loud. I put alot of faith in GM hoping they wouldn't exploit the Saturn Name, but little by little they're chipping it away.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda
I traded in a Passat on this car so I could take our large dog around more comfortably for him and us. Wow, what a mistake. After German engineering, it is hard to get used to Spring Hill plastic. POOR, POOR quality. I knew that the Saturn was inexpensive, but I assumed it to be of good craftsmanship, if not of high end materials. Was I ever wrong. I want a divorce from the Saturn family.
