Used 2005 Saturn ION Consumer Reviews
Warm weather only!
Aside from the plastic construction, & non-ergonomic interior, I can only recommend this car to be owned in warm climates. From my experience, once the temps fall to freezing, the anti-theft system in the steering column freezes, the engine is incapacitate & you are stranded. I have to carry a small electric heater & a very long extension cord with me & insure I park near an outside outlet. Getting rid of it as soon as possible, & I will never buy another. Saturn denies there is any problem with the anti-theft & will not remove it.
Nice Car
I never thought about a Saturn, but I was strapped and needed a car. I LOVE the car. It a little bigger than what I'm used to (Honda Civic) but I really love it. Handles great, fun to drive, and I feel very safe in it.
New Saturn at 30 days
Comfortable car to drive. The local dealership was great to deal with and provided good information. This is our 3rd Saturn and we love it. Gas mileage at 30 mpg right now in the city!
Great car, even in accidents
I was in an accident with mine and there was damage, but the dent resistent stuff really helped. There was not much body damage for a 35-40 mph impact. Both airbags went off, and no engine damage in our case. Great car to drive and now I feel even safer in it, at least from a head-on colission
Satisfied Saturn Owner
For the money the Saturn Ion2 is a good buy. I have put 2,500 miles on it since I bought it and have had no problems with anything. It is fun to drive, has adequate pickup with the 140 HP engine. Mileage is good at 32 mpg for an automatic. The front grill is really a big improvement for the 2005. I think it looks great in the gold color with tan interior. GM has a winner for the price you pay.
