Saturn...never again...
I have had my Saturn ION 3 for a while and have had many problems from the tires, brakes, interior ceiling, sunroof...I can keep going. The car is nice to look at but I will not buy another one. The customer service also was not what I expected. Overall not a good car and not a good feel. I really wanted to buy the VUE, something really big will have to happen to change my mind.
2005 ION 1 A
Bought this car with 23 miles on it after having bought a 95 Saturn SL1 5m in May of 04. My brother has a 95 Saturn SL1 5 M and can't kill it. These were so good, I had to check out the ION. Difference is night and day in comfort, quiet, ease of entry, room and height of driver's seat. I adjusted to the center mounted instrument cluster within a block of my first test drive. I like the instruments being up high like this instead of down somewhere behind the steering wheel. Feels like a much larger car, solid like an old Volvo. This one's going to be around a long time.
Outstanding Car-Handsdown!
I was a truck/SUV type before buying my new Saturn ION. I have no regrets about my purchase and I am highly pleased with this make/model! I recommend this vehicle to anyone. Great horsepower, fuel efficient, and a smooth comfortable ride. Thank you Saturn!
Great car, basic but fun
We've got almost 3K on the car now and it runs great. Great gas mileage and fun to drive the sporty 5 spd. This redesigned car provides a smooth, stable, ride with 15" wheels, and a quiet interior. We can actually carry on a quiet conversation at 70 MPH. Turning radius is also very good for parking and turnarounds. Only problem I've encountered was a sticky door handle and squeaky clutch pedal which were both repaired satisfactorily at the dealer. Overall a really neat, fun car to drive.
Saturn Did It Right!
The Ion Quad-coupe 3 is a wonderfully fun car to drive, with good acceleration, wonderful handling, and responsive acceleration and steering, even for a 4-cylinder engine. All of the design flaws from the first ION have been resolved and improved upon (for instance, the NBA basketball- textured dash is gone), and even with the two rear suicide-doors, I was able to comfortably seat my elderly in-laws in the back seat comfortably for a long trip from Miami to Tampa and back. This is a truly wonderful car with a boatload of useable storage space in the trunk, and is also a real eye- catcher as well. Get the sunroof and the leather interior and ENJOY!
