My Max
I have owned my max for the past 2-1/2 yrs and I love it. If I had to complain about anything it would be the turning radius of the car is maneuverable but a little hard. I am not crazy about the orange dash board illumination because it seems harder to see in the daylight. Otherwise, i LOVE my Max!
Electrical Problems
After a few months of owning the car, the coils went out (cost $800). Six months later same thing plus wiring harness (cost $2,800). A few weeks later same exact thing, only they replaced the computer in the car (under warranty). A few weeks later, the same thing, and now another computer and coil pack. The computer fried everything over and over again. My car has had the computer replaced 4 times. The last time I went back to the dealership, I had them look at the history, and the original owner had the same problem. The car has been repaired at the Nissan dealer every time. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with Nissan Corporate, with no help what so ever. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR

Fantastic Ride!
I bought this Maxima a year ago, and it's amazing! Great performance, very responsive acceleration and breaking. Beautiful car inside and out. It has never broken down, never failed to start, no problems. Just routine maintenance.
Love my Maxima
This is my third Nissan and I've loved them all. I bought this car new and find it totally reliable and wonderful to drive. I've had no problems with the performance or the quality of the vehicle. I've replaced nothing and my interior still looks great. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the turning radius is too wide.
Don't Buy a 2004 Nissan Maxima
In 2007 I began to notice that the chrome finish on the front grill was beginning to peel off. This was also beginning to happen on the chrome accents that are embedded on the roof of the vehicle. In late 2008 the power window motor located in the drivers door began to malfunction and now it is not functional at all. In 2009, the power door locks located on the drivers side (front and rear doors) also began to malfunction. Power to the steering wheel column and the drivers seat have now also failed. I have also experienced issues with the air conditioning system and I have had several leaks in the o-rings that have been addressed several times. Do not purchase a Nissan product!!
