Comfortable and reliable
This is my 2nd Altima. I’ve had this one almost two years. The only problems have been the radio - it was fixed by a software update at the dealership - and the ride on bumpy surfaces is rough. On smooth roads, it’s perfect and glides, but on our back country roads, you feel every bump. But, the seats are very comfortable and the car has been very reliable. Great gas mileage, avg 31-32 mpg. My first Altima was a 2011 and also very dependable and comfortable. This 2019 has all kinds of safety features standard - ProPilot assist, blind spot monitor, front and rear collision warnings, front collision avoidance.

DISAPPOINTED SENIOR PASSENGER
This car was promoted as good for people with bad backs, which is why I purchased one. Unfortunately, the passenger seat is the plain old manual seat, very low. Difficult to enter and leave. The front seat is so crowded with tech and console, I feel claustraphobic. Very disappointed.

Looooved this car!
I have never written a review for a car. I rented this beauty for one week and I’m sooo attached I’m going to go buy one. I drove from LA to San Luis Obispo and back. It was a wonderful drive! I I thought I would never say driving down the grapevine, in pouring down rain. That you couldn’t even see! The alert system would make me aware that cars were next to me.

I plan to hold on to my Altima SV for a while
I started with a 2016 Altima S to 2019 Altima SV and I definitely feel at home in this car. I've been driving the car since January and whenever I'm away from home in a rental, I get homesick for my car. I love Android Auto, I live the ProPilot assist, and I love the small details engineered into my driver's seat. For example, the armrest extends just far enough to rest my elbow when holding the bottom of the wheel. I was surprised when I didn't have this simple design while driving a VW Passat. I love that I finally have a use for a USB-C to USB-C cable that came with a cable bundle I bought. This car has everything that I love and the more aggressive exterior styling is an excellent finishing touch to compare with Civic and Camry. I bet their driver seats aren't this comfortable though.

Nice car so far.(Just 2 weeks into it.)
For the most part I like the car. I do NOT like the key setup. Carry your key fob in your pocket while being able to open the door and start the car is somewhat ok. What abut valet parking? Poor design, key goes with owner, fob (without a hanger) goes to valet. They all HANG the key on a peg board. Without a way to hang the fob it is too likely to get lost at the valet station. My second issue is with the seats. These are supposed to be zero gravity seats but they are quite hard. Comfort level is LOW and for my wife's back the problem is significant. I may end up trading this car in shortly just for the seats. Note: I have been in 2019 Altima SL's that have the proper - very comfortable seats so I don't know why this one doesn't have them.) Finally, the in town gas mileage seems a lot lower than expected. Otherwise, nice pick-up, good braking, fine appearance. Heated seats and steering wheel are great in our NJ winter. Dual AC/heat controls are very nice to have. Radio reception is excellent as is the blue tooth connectivity to my cell. Display screen retains fingerprints and is quite busy but this is my first one so I'll get used to it. Backup camera and display are adequate. One last thing, the blind-spot warning light on the door next to the rear view mirror (both sides) is unobtrusive when off but my eye catches it easily when it lights up and I am happy to have the warning of a vehicle nearby. Overall I am happy with this car.
Somewhat nice car
Cheap plastic wheel covers, and cheap feeling interior. This car weighs too much for its lack of horsepower combined with it having the abominable CVT that car makers still think was a good idea. I rented one for a week, and I felt like I was driving a Toyota Corolla. This car has absolutely no power whatsoever. Flooring it barely gets you to 40, and it takes its sweet time. I drove an altima back in 2006 and its tired spun if you floored it, because it had tons of power and a real engine. It's a shame that they ruined the sporty feel of the Altima, I've driven golf carts that accelerate faster than the 2019 2.5L Altima. They should never have done away with the v6 in the Altima.

Very disappointed
Car looks nice, seats not comfortable, no room for storage, design of vehicle is not practical. Hard to get out of it, way to low, the doors opening is weird, door so big but don't give much room for legs to get out. Fabric is stiff and gets dirty and stained, stiches are stretched out in seats which are not even used. Vents are way to small. Plugs are in way and not easy access, should be higher. Trunk is low, can't even put 2 luggage one on top of other. I upgraded from 2006 nissan altima special edition to 2019 nissan altima SV but really downgraded. Other car was a dream, comfy, practical, huge trunk and lots of storage. Perfect for travel, new car is horrible even to just go grocery shopping. It does have good feature, lights are much brighter. I hate the car, total nightmare. Also was driving in rain 60 mph the car just stopped in middle of road, not safe at all.

What's the deal with ugly wheel ?
Mishapen steering wheel was previously installed only on Maxima.I hated the look of it so it is another few hundred dollars to replace the wheel. My friwnd had a Maxima 16 and I had the impression that it lacked space inside. Why make a new engine with same mpg as 6 years before ?Driver assist apps are above and beyond reasonable. After we created a generation, that cannot write or count due to calculators being on almost any device and spellchecks in every text program we surely should encourage the drivers, who do not know how to drive to keep on driving.Who needs EAB (emergency braking assistance)? This technology is pretty fresh and often malfunctions.Imagine situations sorry it was not me rearending you,my EAB sensor just malfunctions. And for the most curious I suggest the following question:how do you check EAB , while test driving a vehicle ? What would you say if it is not in a perfect working order ?So they just made Altima look like a cheaper imitation of Maxima.

Great Car
I had a 2019 Honda Accord EXL and it was uncomfortable sitting in the seats. The new Altima has great comfortable seats. The engine pick up feels like a V6. I have the base 2.5L 188HP. The Gas mileage is excellent and the all around look and feel is like an Infiniti. I would definitely recommend this car.

2019 SR Gun Metallic Grey
I purchased my 19 Altima with 32,xxx miles in August 2020. So far have put about 16k on her in 4 months! The seats are so comfortable! Good for road trips! I do have minor issues with my radio. Nothing too wild. The car has been good to me so far, and I plan on keeping her for at least 4 more years! Gets about 28mpg combined, up to 33mpg hwy which is amazing with my lead foot! Car is engaging to drive, stable, and safe! I would purchase again. CVT transmission is not bad! Have them replace your fluid every 60k miles at least! Love the black leather seats with orange accents it looks sharp! Ive never paid more that $28 to fill the tank! Made it from Minneapolis to Detroit (600 miles about) filling up once in Illinois. 2.5 Liter is not as sluggish as some say. Huge trunk. The SR comes standard with 19 inch rims, which I suggest! It makes for a much sporty profile!

Excellent performance
As long as you keep the service done when due, the vehicle will always perform as it's new. Also take seriously the service advisor review on things inspected faulty and have them taken care of asap, and you will always have a smooth running vehicle at all times.
