Used 2020 MINI Hardtop 2 Door Consumer Reviews
More Enjoyable With Every Drive
We had an ‘08 Cooper S automatic for a couple of years; great rabid-squirrel-like acceleration and tight/harsh go-cart handling. Exciting car to drive but unrefined (and had a serious throttle lag issue). Fast forward to our ‘18 Cooper non-S (but still turbo 3-cylinder) with Premium Package, automatic trans, etc. This car continues to impress every time I drive it. Tight build quality, comfortable but fun driving, great fuel economy and premium feel. I have driven everything from old 3-cylinder Geo Metros to BMWs, 420HP Mustangs and our current 330HP Jeep Commander...this Mini delivers effortless low-rev acceleration/handling while returning 33mpg city/42mpg highway (during our ownership). This one’s a long-term keeper. The only negative I can think of is that we wished it would have stayed as small as the previous generation.

MOSTLY all fun!
Pros: amazing handling, very punchy engine, very comfortable front seats and driving position (and I’m 6’1”) wonderful sound system. I live in the NE and it does surprisingly well in the snow. Very catchy and unique styling, I always get compliments on its looks. I had a BMW 3 series and similarly this car feels tighter and drives better at highway speeds. Overall, I really love it! Cons: the ride is definitely firm, no blind spot sensors is unfortunate living and driving mostly in the city. A few instances of CarPlay getting randomly disconnected and it’s a process to reconnect. Wish fuel economy in the city was a bit better and finally that the steering was more firm. The weight of the steering doesn’t match the power coming from the JCW model which overall makes the driving experience at higher speeds not as confident and fun as it should be.

My Second Mini
This is my second MIni Cooper and the third generation rocks. The car is very quick with the new twin turbo and it has a little growl when you punch it. I am a little disappointed with the MPG. I only travel city never highway and I am only getting 23 MPG. You would think with a 3 cylinder the gas mileage would be better. Over all I am very happy with the car. With only 850 miles on it I hope to have many more.

Sold car in 2022
Take it for a demo test and hang on tight when you try out “Sport” mode. Performance, braking and handling is best I have ever experienced especially from a $32k car!
