Used 2004 Mazda RX-8 Automatic 4dr Coupe (1.3L 2rtr 4A) Consumer Reviews
Clutch problems
I have enjoyed driving the Rx8. My only problem is that the clutch has burned out twice in less than 7,000 miles. My son a teenager drives it mostly. I am trying to decide is the problem the driver or the clutch
Zoom-Zoom is RIGHT!
It's tough having a car salesman for a husband. He brought the RX-8 home for lunch one day, and I owned it that night. I've never liked driving - but I LOVE this car! Now I wish I had to drive further to get to work every day! No fear of tipping over (like with my Santa Fe); holds the road, corners, changes lanes like a dream. I am a believer! I'll trade off the mediocre fuel economy for the fun and satisfaction of an awesome looking and driving car!

Mazda RX-8 A practical sports car
I really enjoy this car. It drives like a much more expensive sports car. The car is small but with plenty of room inside. I'm 6'3" and used to drive a Town Car.
Nice when it starts
I've had this car about a year and have had a major problem with it not starting all the time. They tell me that it is caused from vapor locking. They have replaced several things and it still hasn't solved the problem. Mazda finally agreed to buy it back from me so that I can purchase a RELIABLE car. This car has left me stranded several times. Another dislike is how you have to first leave the car running for 20 minutes before you shut it off.
2004 Mazda RX8=problems,problems,problem
owned car 2 weeks, 642 mi. had to replace motor. 2 weeks later had to replace latch on fuse box (broken). 6 mo. later had to replace air conditioning unit after being repaird once. 1 month later had to replace broken driver side sun visor. This car has been in the dealership garage more than it has been in my own. Would not recommend this auto to anyone looking for a dependable sports car.
