Excellent value!
I looked at all the compact SUV in the price range, and before deciding on the CX-7, CRV and RAV4 were my other final candidates. Simply put, CX-7 just felt more expensive. It offeres a combination of style, refinement, and driving pleasure that is very rare in this class. In addition, where else can you find power and heated seats, rear view camera, auto A/C, moon roof, and bluetooth all for $25K. Yes, the CX-7 can use more room and power, but it never felt slow in my daily communite, and it is large enough for my family of 4 plus a 120LB dog. CX-7 looked stunning inside and out, and you probably won't find another same car in the same parking lot.
When it rains I lose control, everytime.....=(
I have had some scary moments in this car. I have had it for 3.5 years now and when it rains it never fails i lose traction. One time recently we had a bad rain storm and my car lost traction and hydroplaned and the front end went downward which made me think i was about to flip. I was on a hwy but know this vehicle so as soon as I saw rain I let off the gas, it was too late. All I can say is Thank God! My kids weren't with me. I have read this is an issue with the cx-7, as well as the headlights going out often, which mine do. In fact, I can not keep headlights working in my cx-7. I also can not keep the interior lights working and my mechanic has done everything to try to fix this matter but has been unsuccessful. The stereo however is the best part of this car. I enjoy it very much. The a/c is another matter, im having trouble from time to time with a smell and have had it recharged twice recently. When my cruise control is on a feel a miss with it, like a small jerk, so that is worrisome. I recently hit 122k miles and i will say when i hit the 100k mile mark things started to fail and it continues. I recently spent over $600, for repairs to keep me on the road and as I type i had to drop my car off to get the headlights repaired yet again. This is the 3rd time within the last few months. I am about to part ways with this vehicle and i do not intend on buying another Mazda. I will be looking for a safer vehicle, this one has really scared me!!!

Nice car. Tight fit for people sitting in the bac
Small space in back seat area. Hard to get good traction when starting on wet surface. Day 3 we had backup camera installed, would of been nice to have backup camera already included. Nice sound system and phone system included as standard. Sits lower than my other SUV. Overall not bad, nice car.

First Mazda
My neighbor recently brought the same vehicle and I really like the style and size of the Mazda CX7 Sport. So far I really like the vehicle. I thought it would be hard to go from a 6 cylinder to a 4 but so far so good. Pleased with my choice. Could be less road noise but maybe it's the tires or road.
Excellent vehicle
This is a very nice vehicle with plenty of features and style. The turbo engine is smooth with very minimal turbo lag - if any at all. I did, however, expect the car to have more power with the 244 hp. I kind of wish they just made this with a 6 cylinder and ditched the turbo. The MPG would be the same probably. The AWD system seems to work, although I can better gauge that in the coming Maine winter months. The handling is excellent for a vehicle of this size - much like my 2007 Mazda 6 that I traded in for this vehicle.
