Could have done better
Yes it is comfortable for a road trip, car has good motor drives nicely, but the navigation is so bad I use my portable Gamin. All electronics are hard to handle and confusing. Especially navigation. You can't add your on safety and speed cameras or other data bases like you can with the Garmin. Car requires premium gas which offsets the hybrid value by 30 cents plus per gallon. They make hybrids that use regular but not this Lexus. I doubt if I would buy another because of the poor technology. Repair expensive so I bought extra Lexus warranty. Required service can be performed at Toyota at half the price.

FSport Hybrid--UNBELIEVEABLE!
We started out only looking at the regular RX, but after much deliberation about what packages we wanted, we decided to choose the FSport Hybrid. That was the best decision we have ever made. We are extremely happy with all the features this vehicle offers. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Not so quiet ride!
Great luxury interiors Not enough sound suppression for road noise in cabin despite $55K plus price ticket Exterior front way too exaggerated design robs class to the vehicle

Sport seats are miserable if you are 38" waist
Love the car. Hate the front seats. The bolster on either side is rigid and relatively high (pointed) compared to other bolsters so a big person sits "ON" the bolster instead of between the bolster. These high rigid bolsters press against the sciatic nerve making it very uncomfortable after about 20 minutes. Small people don't seem to have a problem. There is no way around it, even with cushions that ultimately defeat the value of the AC/Heated seats. Lexus customer (no) service told me if they have enough comments they will consider a design change in future vehicles but as for now, nothing they can/will do.

AWESOME RX
This is my 3rd Lexus SUV and it is stunning, superb, outstanding quality! Mine was a SPO and I waited 7 1/2 months before taking ownership. Well worth the wait!!

smart cruise breaking
I had owned this vesicle during a couple of months. Two weeks ago I totaled it by accident. I was using smart cruise to the home at freeway. A car suddenly changed the lane to my lane, therefore my front car could't stop and hit the car. I expected full stop of my lexus but failed to make stop before crush. I was really surprised because the smart cruise maintained enough distance from the front car according to my driving experience with honda pilot (which is bigger non-luxury SUV). After accident (I regret this!!!), I researched that even Lexus RX 350 have bad stopping distance than other luxury cars. Now I know that Lexus RX 450h is much heavier (300-500 pounds) than RX 350. I am suspicious that RX 450h /RX 350 may have different break systems. Good luck with the owners of Lexus RX 450h.

4 years and still love it!
Only reason I went for Lexus hybrid was fuel efficiency and their reliability history. People said there's battery issues with Lexus hybrid but no probs. So far it runs quiet and smooth like a newbie.

Works fine, last a long time
This is my 3rd of the Lexus RX. It has all the Bells and Whistles, and is fun to drive. Very quiet, and quick, very responsive. Just wish it didn't bitch after 20 seconds of not holding the steering wheel. Otherwise, it would be autonomous for the most part. I enjoy the "Brake Hold" feature that allows me to take my foot off the brake while waiting for the traffic light to change. The Brake Hold ON should be the default. The Dynamic Cruise Control is outstanding. It allows the vehicle to keep pace with the car ahead maintaining speed and a safe distance selected by the driver. But most importantly, it's fun to drive, quiet enough to carry on a conversation with my inside voice (at highway speeds) and is very comfortable. With AWD, the vehicle can get out of alignment very easily and needs to be realigned regularly. With this in mind, I purchased a 3 year alignment plan from Goodyear. The last time I had it aligned, they wanted to charge me $25 to have some electronic steering control reset. I asked if this was similar to having Low Headlight Fluid. Then I told them that I was planning to call the Dealership and ask them about this reset BS. They immediately took it off the list. With the lock down, I haven't been driving as much as usual. With only 37,000 miles on this puppy, it's still working great, keeping it fresh and new looking and won't allow anyone to eat in the car, resulting in that "new car smell." Hopefully the newness will last until I trade this puppy for another in 2025 or 2026. The RX is the best selling vehicle that Lexus makes. The hybrid is even better. I'm looking forward to the LF-1 Limitless, which seems to be the RX future replacement. Way to go Lexus...
