Used 2012 Lexus RX 450h Consumer Reviews
This Car is so good, I just ordered 2 new ones
This is a smaller SUV than the larger LG series I have sold this car and bought a 2017 RX 350...I figured it would take 5-7 years to break even on the hybrid version. Basically, it is the same car with new bells and whistles. Don't buy the lift gate swipe option...it just never works wwhen it comes out.hen I need it. I'll buy a 2020 version when it appears.

Lexus hybrid disappointed in mpg. I question why p
Miles per gallon of this hybrid are not worth the extra cost to purchase.

Waste of money!! Should have bought an RX350!!
Paid a premium price for a preowned RX450h but I have been unable to achieve the 30mpg city and 28 mpg highway mileage stated by fuel economy.gov. On average, the best mileage I have achieved is between 23-24mpg city and highway. Definitely disappointing for a hybrid vehicle!! Overall, the vehicle has only achieved average reliability and I have had to replace the hybrid traction battery at 130K miles. The GPS system has been outdated from day one and the majority of the tech features are a waste of money!! As a previous Lexus RX300 owner, I expected a lot more from Lexus with this vehicle in regards to luxury and tech features along with superior gas mileage and I have been extremely disappointed!! Don't waste your money!! I wish I had purchased a gas powered Lexus RX350 instead.

AWKWARD CAR
This SUV looks great outside and stands up on the lot. Unfortunately, this is the only great thing about it. Very poor performance even after shifting into S-Sport. Car feels very heavy (like most luxury cars, right?) and lacking power. After taking it for a day drive around the town, I've got 22.5 mpg this is what you get for $19,000 used car (I was looking at regular RX for $9,000 and thinking: how much time/years will take to get the 5 mpg difference back?). Radio and controls are weird: like you are holding Japanese cassette player from the 80's. There is no way to find the button you need while you are driving... forget about using the joystick (awkward-est part #1 in this car ). So, bad gas mileage, mediocre performance... Probably good for people who cannot handle a V-6 engine (great for retirement?). I also tested LS 430 and I appreciated the ride (didn't buy it because we couldn't open a trunk. Later I found out that the car was overpriced).
