Smooth ride, But....

This is my first 'luxury car'. It's fun to drive & handles well. There are however a few disappointments... 1. Remote start turns engine off upon entering the car, even if you have the key with you. This seems like a time & fuel waste. 2. You can start the car, leave the key at home and drive as much and as far as you want to. While doing so, you will see the warning message "No key detected" on the instrument panel. I would prefer the car keep running with remote start as long as I have the key with me than having the ability to drive an already running car without a key. Very counterintuitive.... 3. No backup camera gridlines. I envy my friends who paid much less for cars that have the camera grid. 4. Radio operations and presets. Its not easy to operate.

I like the ride, solid feel, regular gas, very nice interior and EASY maintenance, unlike a previous car which had to be taken to the dealer constantly to protect my warranty. Other than a water pump failure replaced under warranty - I haven't put a wrench on the engine or anything else. Oil changes and filters - thats it with 130K on the vehicle and it still looks like new approaching 2023 - after 7 years plus. I don't see what the issue is with the electronic display for various functions like audio, climate, bluetooth etc.. I found it simple to use. Great functionality, low maintenance costs and superb longevity. The higher ground clearance of SUV's means the have more sway and less agile handling than compared to an AWD wagon that will handle with agility just because of lower ground clearance - but you don't hop over curbs in these and snow clearance or any off-road driving becomes an issue.Great car.

4.5 SMOOTH RIDE

Farley new purchase for me but so far I can say the low fuel alert could have been designed better with the ability of all the luxury features. The low gas light finally turns on when it basically in “E” and doesn’t buy you much time to get gas.

I absolutely LOVE this vehicle! I have wanted one for a number of years. The only thing I would love to have is the reverse camera guidelines. The mouse took a little getting used to, but I got it in a few days. The exterior and interior are gorgeous. Love that it is a 3.5L engine. Just the right amount of HP. I absolutely LOVE this SUV!!!

This is a very roomy and classy car. However, if you are looking for a sporty handling SUV, go with the BMW X3. I know my Lexus will be a reliable car and will last for many years, but I do miss the performance of my BMWX3. Also the Lexus does not require Premium gasoline, so I will save money over the BMW on gas and maintenance costs. Maintenance on the BMW was costly. I don't think this will happen with the Lexus. Time will tell.
