Great if it's what you expected
I have a high-pressure job & like my car to be a low-pressure, traveling sofa, so when I tested various cars (Audi A6 & A8, Mercedes 550, BMW 7 series) the LS 460 stole the show. My priorities are quiet cabin, smooth ride, great sound system and plush interior, so I'm very happy with my choice.
Unbelievable reliability
This is my 8th Lexus and all performed very well. My major complaint with my 2014 LS460 is the very dangerous way the driver is required to take his/her eyes of the road to navigate around the dashboard with a mouse.

2014 LS460 F Sport
This is our third Lexus and have been very pleased with the other new Lexus's (LS400 & LS430) we owned. Overall, we are very happy with the 2014 Lexus LS460 F Sport except for two unresolved issues. Issue #1: Noisy front Brembo brake pads. They have a very loud and annoying squeal when wet or when the temperature is below 20 deg. Fahrenheit. Have had the car in for warranty service and have had the updated pads (fix) replaced. The fix did not change the noise problem. Lexus is saying nothing else can be done. Issue #2: The truck lid leaks water into the truck on both sides near the tail light assemblies when raised after a heavy rain or after going through a car wash. Have had the car into Lexus and also a Lexus Rep. reviewed the problem. I was told this is a design problem and nothing can be done to fix the problem. This again is a very annoying problem, need to have a towel inside on each side to collect the water. Long term concern I have is, if water collects in the truck lid and doesn't drain properly will I have premature rust out of the trunk lid.

Luxury Highway Rocket
I love this car and brought it brand new off the show room floor. Over 5 years and 50k miles, I still love it. My arthritic hips are forcing me to consider an SUV instead of a sedan for easier entry and exit. I will hang on to this car as long as I can because I really enjoy driving this powerful and comfortable car.

Honest Review of 2013 LS460 by Don
Before I purchased this car I talked to a number of people who owned one and generally everyone gave it an "A" grade. Now that I have purchase mine, I AGREE COMPLETELY, with the exception of IT NEEDS MORE HORSEPOWER to keep competitive with the Mercedes S550 and BMW 750 series. I always enjoy getting into my new Lexus LS460 to drive it, and on top of my enjoyment I have received numerous compliments.
Smooth rider!
This is my third LS and I have never been disappointed. The ride is impeccably smooth and I never had any mechanical problems. Very dependable! Wish I had better gas mileage and I didn’t have to use premium gas.

Weird engine knocking at idle and low speeds
My mechanic says there is a major problem with the engine that should be covered by the Lexus warranty. The dealer agreed that the noise is not normal, and had the regional Lexus rep look at it. He said that the sound was normal! Nobody reviews this car and says there is a "normal" knocking noise coming from the engine. It appears Lexus claims that they sell a luxury vehicle for over $70,000 that sounds like a Model T. I am know trying to get some resolution from Lexus to try and remedy this problem and back up their product. Does anyone have a suggestion on who to contact at Lexus?

Most reliable car I've owned
I now own a 2013 LS 460, it's the fourth LS I've owned since the first generation. I've also owned a ES 250, showing my age, a ES 300 and a GS 300. Every single Lexus I've owned I've never had to do more than change the oil, change tires and brakes and batteries as needed, all wearable parts and that's that. I've personally put over 300k on my 95 LS and 200k plus on my GS ,no problem. I'm 43, and my 2013 just turned 80k, I'll probably die with this car and my soon to come 2020 corvette lol. Lexus is always go when I'm sick of getting fckd by bmw x5 trash ,3 series puff, 5 series lil gunner but small, 7 series complete disappointment..1996 850 csi fun like benz , Mercedes (had a 2003cl 600), repairs are outrageous, dealers charged 9900.00 for the Mercedes b service n still fckd my 160k dollar car up, 9900 for nada, needed a 500 dollar part, good as new and that's with sixty thousand miles...long story short I've personally seen mint condition Lexuses with almost a million miles on em n many ,double digits of cars with 300k plus miles..use lucas synthetic and synthetic oil n swap a court of oil for a quart of lucas each oil change save receipt and if ur engine goes you get a new one free..seriously, none of those cars left me stranded ever, and my wife had a 2000 ex 300 SUV , flipped it n rolled down a hill n came out without a scratch n the car still ran n drove, not good lol but she was safe and that truck saved her.

The last of the 8 cylinder LS460
Well engineered and outstanding quality control. Got the extended warranty even thought it has never had a mechanical problem. The quality control for this Lexus is outstanding. Other than technology it is the perfect pre-owned luxury vehicle.

Luxury at its finest
This car is unbelievably smooth and quiet. Almost too quiet with the stereo off. It gets up and moves very well but leaves a little more get up desired. The handling feels a little heavy but not unreasonable for car of its size. I did just trade in a Mercedes E350 so I’m used to a car that feels like go kart. All around it’s an excellent car with great options and reliability.

Squeaky Luxury
BEWARE of the large brakes on the F-Sport model. I bought my 2014 in August 2014 and with only 2K miles, the brakes are driving me nuts. Lexus is aware, as my car is on version three of the brake pads, and these dont work either. "There is a price to pay to have this much performance" Hogwash! That's PC for we can't fix them. Driver interface with the car via the mouse is circa 1995, very clunky and not intuitive. Love the ride, but she's underpowered. Would NOT buy this one again....and I love Lexus!!
Just lovely
I came out of a 2001 LS430 and after testing a 2012 I felt I really should try a 2014 LS460 as recommended online on the lexus owners site. It was the right thing to do: It handles very nicely (no its is not a sports car but unless you like to drive on the limit often it fits the bill). Against the 2001 which is boaty, this is just lovely. Fuel consumption is not bad but not great neither - even if you drive in ECO setting. Flip side.....you drive a 4.6L V8 with 380 horses - you want them to run they need to eat. The comfort setting is super smooth and unless you press the accelerator, its very quiet. The seats are divine and supportive and very comfortable (I am 6'6"). The steering wheel gets close but given my built (living on stilts) it would have been nice to see it move out a bit further. When you press the accelerator IT GOES and that is good enough for anyone who actually is buying one. The other thing is the built quality, which is tremendous. Again Lexus continues to provide car that you can buy used and does not require you to have bottomless pockets to repair, unlike its competitors (had a S500 1991-1999 gen which was bullitt proof - now I would not touch one again). Reliability is key for many buyers/drivers, strangely (is it? :( ) most manufacturers make theirs cars less so. I had read some negative feedback on the use of the mouse to manipulate the screen. It works just fine, all you have to do is put in a little effort to get used to it.

AWD developed a major leak at 40K miles
It was in warranty and I received a loaner of course. But they had to remove the entire engine and transmission. This is the 11th Lexus I've owned and loved everyone of them. But honestly it has me wondering if I should dump it.

Lexus the UNDISPUTED CHAMPION!
Shop the Germans first, then come see the Lexus LS460, bring your checkbook...Well Over a year later and my LS460 just keeps on pleasing, and my friends with the German car's are finally realizing that Lexus might have something. Their car's are costing them a fortune in JUST ROUTINE maintenance, not to mention repairs, Well I love my $59.00 Mobile 1 oil changes and free car washes at the local Lexus Dealership..

Great car, one very stupid solution
We purchased this car new in Jan 2015 and have put since then 41000 miles. It is a gorgeous car, very solid, reliable, excellent gas mileage (21 mpg average). One thing is jumping at me is the completely inept positioning of the tire pressure reset button: hidden somewhere under the dashboard, extremely difficult to find and reach, requiring to be kept depressed until light is blinking three times while you are crouched under the dash, assuming you were fortunate enough to reach it 🤬😤. It’s a shame Lexus could not find either a better location , or an electronic solution that even a Honda Civic has. Keep in mind you have to use it each time you are inflating the tires !

automatic window wiper rain sensors don't work,
Very fun to drive, but three problems: 1. Automatic window wiper rains sensor is supposed to wipe automatically during rain storms. It has never worked, no matter how hard it rains or how fast your are driving. The dealer does a test when the squirt water onto the sensor. After about 15-25 seconds, the wipers wipe once, but this never happens in real driving conditions, even when going fast in heavy rain. Dealer keeps testing it saying it passes test but in real life it doesn't work. What good is it if it doesn't work when we are driving in the rain? 2. the Battery is difficult to get to if you need to use jumper cables. 3. You have to take your eyes off the road to look down to operate the control pane/radiol with a joy stick. Like having to look down at a computer operated with a mouse while driving. No very safe.

LS460 F SPORT
Must say that the LS460 F Sport is much better choice then the regular model in its class. Before buying this LS, I drove the 750IL, S-class and A8. I find the LS Sport is the best choice overall in terms of looks, feels and comfort. The exterior of this the F Sport in white makes the 2014 S-class, Audi A8 or 750IL looking ugly. Lexus has done an outstanding job in the new body stye and the reason why I bought the F sport model. especially in the F Sport Model. It rides like butter in any condition. For the money and it's Lexus I wouldn't think twice. I owned the CL550 AMG 2010 and traded in for this F Sport in Aug 30 and it has been a joyable ride so far. Highly recommended car.
This is my 2nd LS
Very happy with this car.

This is by far the most comfortable car I have ever driven. Spend the extra money for the air suspension, it is well worth it. What a great combination of Luxury and performance.

Analog clock
Lexus used to have digital clocks which were easy to read. Now there is a analog clock which is difficult to read primarily because the clock hands are the same color as the background which pretty much renders it useless when driving.

This car does a lot of things really well.
I've been driving Ellis's for 20 years and then found them relatively inexpensive to run. Especially compared to any European cars which I drove in the 80s and 90s. Love them for their time but my pocketbook became very precious to me. These are great cars

I’ve owned Two Lexus 460 cars. They are the most comfortable riding car on the road. They get respectable gas mileage too , for a luxurious car.

HAPPY OWNER
My car is the best car I ever owned. I've had it since 2017. So far it has cost me under 1000.00 ( one thousand). Everywhere I go the car gets complements. After 10 years, I'm convinced that the car rides better with age. I paid 45000.00 (forty five thousands) and still can get over 30000.00(thirty thousands) for the car. On the highway, it really shows off. I can go on and on,but what I'm trying to say is the car takes GREAT care of it's owner. GET THIS MODEL AT ALL COST!!!
